Once again - I’ve asked many on this thread to show their work. Instead of puffing out your chest and chanting “SEC SEC SEC”, give me a breakdown of positional groups and tell me where I’m wrong. I’ll hang up and listen. I think what a lot of the incumbent SEC teams fail to realize is that most Texas fans are actually objective about our program. I fully admit - despite being one of the winningnest teams in college FB history and having 4 titles that we have underachieved given our advantages. Our neighbors to the north have 7 titles and while I hate them I respect them. And most Texas fans realize the SEC will be a challenge and a grind. But again - please go player by player and tell me why I’m wrong instead of just spouting off.

Texas plays the following conference games in 24:
Miss State- awful right now
Vandy- always a guaranteed win
Kentucky- guaranteed win
OU- we all saw this week how bad they suck
Florida- my gators are as bad as we've ever been
Geogia- the only ranked team you'll play all season and you get them at home.
Arkansas- they're awful right now
A&M- new coach, lost a lot of starters, will probably suck.
There is no way that this easy of a schedule happened by accident.

Texas lost to Oklahoma in the very last minute. Alabama should have lost to Auburn. Texas was a bit banged up coming into the Oklahoma game. It really should be Washington who's out. No way in hell Washington's defense would slow Georgia down.

I try to engage openly on these boards, only to have troglodytes puff their chest, not answer questions, and insult all things Texas despite the fact that I openly acknowledge and respect their own programs. I’m waiting for the inevitable keyboard warrior to challenge me to a fight at this point.

This poem is to commemorate one of the greatest groupthink caused screw ups in college football history: With hardly any real debate or scrutiny, Texas was given a higher ranking than 4 teams who all had the same or better record, all who had more top 15 wins, and all who didn’t lose to a two loss team. The greatest injustice being that Texas was ranked higher than undefeated ACC Champion, Florida State, taking away Florida State’s rightful place in the College Football Playoffs.
It is the author’s opinion that a great delusion was subscribed to in mass, that delusion being that Texas’ win over Alabama somehow earned Texas a “free loss,” the avoidance of scrutiny, and essentially an automatic spot in the playoffs. Let this season serve as a reminder on how the mass adoption of faulty assumptions can result in great injustice.

Was not the last play. AU still got the ball back for three plays to produce their own miracle. Anyway, y’all act like the pass play Bama made was some backyard play they didn’t even practice. AU helped facilitate by providing 0 pass rush.
