Yes. There was no way Texas was going to force Arch to sit on the bench for 3 years. There's no way we could have predicted what has taken place so far with Arch at the helm. However, Ewers definitely needed this extra year to develop. Had Ewers played well this season I think he would have been drafted higher than the 7th round. It's an unfortunate situation for Ewers.
Depends who's QB for Texas. I think Florida only wins if Arch is at QB. It's going to be interesting to see when Sark says enough is enough.

I agree. We held their passing game in check last time. They don’t have Henderson anymore at RB. I just can’t see OSU’s offense as lethal as last year, especially with a first year QB.
Not sure where that d-bag got that shirt. But…you SEC homers have built up this league as some kind of invisible force. Not true. The issue is a lot of SEC homers vastly underestimated what happened to Texas between 2010-2020 in the Big 12 to today. Totally different leadership. Resources were never an issue and you’re seeing it come together. When Texas has the right leadership it can compete with anyone. We are 3rd or 4th in all-time NCAA overall sports wins.

I know everyone likes to give Aggies a hard time, but A&M is far from a sh*thole. One of the best home fields in college football. Some of the best academic facilities I’ve been too.

It is kind of funny...

Somebody who doesn't like your team looks and sees all these new starters and doesn't take into account that teams usually play more than just the starters.

Guys like yourself point this rightly point this but then make claims about how the new guys are going to be "better" than the multi year starters they replaced.

3 of the 5 starters are upper classman and were starters at one point (Hutson, Campbell) or on the cusp (Neto) and mixed-in occasionally. Neto already being raved about as possibly best run blocker on team. Goosby is a legit stud who answered any questions against Georgia. The only question is 5 * RT Baker. We also have Nick Brooks who is very young and getting rave reviews and will probably see playing time. We are deep and offseason workouts matter. Did you think we'd trot Arch Manning out there as a starter behind a so-so line?
You have no idea what you’re talking about:

LT - Goosby filled in admirably for Banks against Georgia with no drop off.
LG - Neto will be an upgrade as a run blocker
C - Senior Hutson originally a freshman guard starter, should be an upgrade as a run blocker
RG - Senior Campbell returns
RT - Baker is a 5 star taking over for Williams who was penalty prone.

Plus, we upgraded our kicker who left lots of points on board.
Plus, a QB with less batted balls down.
Delusional to think Arkansas unis is even in the top 10, much less #2 . You have to do a double-take to make sure it's not OU every time they're on in the afternoon.
I’m sure Texas Tech was always his dream school and $5 million had nothing to do with it. I’m also sure the world is flat.
This is a good reminder that even the richest of the rich will not always win every player. Texas sells “set for life”, Lambo leases, Austin arguably the best college city, and occasionally outspends everyone. But, this is clearly all about money decision and the kid did what’s in his best interest. Texas didn’t want to throw $5 million at him. Nothing wrong with that. I can’t blame them based on what little tape I’ve seen of him. Move on.
Starting to think God is serving some humble pie.
The same Colt McCoy who has a 13 year career in the NFL?
I think Hunter and Sanders finished with a 10-10 record overall in their two years there.
What's amazing is how the NCAA is doing absolutely nothing to stop stuff like this. This isn't the NFL where they renegotiate contracts in a league where they have no problem asking you to take pay cuts.
Seems like what pisses everyone off about Nico is he’s taking an NFL approach where he thinks he has leverage to demand a new renegotiated deal. It’s an obvious already chaotic NIL world…then this prick comes along and introduces more chaos. I hope he gets a lesser deal than what Tennessee offered him. From what little I’ve seen of him play, he seemed like an average passer and a better runner.
It depends what industry you’re in. It depends where you grew up. Generally,

Dallas - finance
Austin - IT
Houston - Energy

My wife is from Boston and Austin would be the easiest adjustment.

That’s a TX high school baller right there.
