Would the Springdale Crew be considered heroes or villains?

I put them in Villain category but I blame Stephens Media for the implosion more than anyone.

Brandon Spikes

I'd say Tebow, too, but he was such an oddity in how good he was and how rare his personality was that it's hard to call him a villain, per se.

Cut blocking has been a part of what you call real football since the 1970s option attacks
what i mean by by real football is when the defense could still hit. all the safety rules implemented have benefited the offensive players.

You really need to shut the frick up Bammer. You didn't play football so go come up with a clever cheer. Leave the football talk to the men

Nick Fairley is the reason Ryan Mallett left the game injured in 2010. He horse-collared Mallett and the refs let him get away with it.

with all the focus on player safety, why allow a technique that's basically a torn acl waiting to happen?

Many ACL injuries are non-contact involving sharp changes of speed and direction.

Direct contact to the knee would likely cause more problems with LCL and MCL along with tibia or fibula fractures.

Fairley is probably the most visible on field villain. I fault UGA for letting him get away with his crap.

The way they could stop Fairley's fun is to put an OL in the game with instructions to get a fight started, you do something dirty in a pileup and Fairley is going to retaliate, and get tossed. Along with the backup Olineman.

Johnny Manziel and Marshall Henderson are two recent ones that come to mind.

There is no such thing as a horse collar on a quarterback inside the tackle box. It only applies to wide receivers, running backs, or quarterbacks once they have gotten outside of the tackles

Chop blocking is just a part of the game im not sure why people have such a problem with it we had a great oline that knew how to handle thugs like Glenn Dorset

Are you fricking serious? It's a cheap shot, it's dirty, and only pussies do it. It's as cowardly as Dillon Day's dickstomp.

ETA : Dillon Dickstomper is an SEC villain, imo.

This thread really just shows what a bunch of fricktards post on this board.

You have Ben Jones, Tre Elston and Dillion Day who have all been suspended by the SEC office for dirty play just in the last 5 years and none of them have been mentioned even once. I believe Tre Elston has been suspended more than once

The Alabama Auburn thing has been going on for years. After Terry Bowden left he openly talked about how the two were dead set on bringing the other down and had people working on it almost exclusively.

As far as Fairley goes, anybody that would defend how he acted in 2010 is ignorant.
Especially against UGA. I have never seen a player that viciously and purposely tried to to be taken out play after play as Aaron Murray was that night with the exception of Lynn Swann by George Atkinson in the 70's. Fairley bordered on criminal that night. I know UGA finally had enough and went after him late in the game but if AU had been playing anybody but Richt and his Saints Fairley would have had a hard time getting out of the stadium that night. The most disgusting display I have ever seen.
