That's true. Those teams also likely didn't attempt to play a decent ooc opponent so they only have themselves to blame if they are 10-2 without playing anyone. At least Texas tried with Michigan

What exactly is the Big 12 or ACC's "region" where they dominate fan interest? The current #2 teams in the ACC and Big 12 are SMU and Iowa St. How would that somehow keep fans in those areas interested with the Big Ten already owning the Midwest and the SEC likewise in Texas/Dallas?
