Hank and SammyTiger approve of grooming (probably).
What does that message have to do with him? I kid…maybe.

He still ate there…so there is that.

Confusing, isn’t it?

Landry might actually be playing 4D chess here

That would make the seemingly moronic grandstanding about no taxpayer dollars being used for a coaches buyout prophetic.

It is a BAD look imho, but if that (supposed) stack of cash can be used for NIL, then whomever the next coach is will be a happy camper (provided his agent isn’t dumb enough to allow him to sign the same contract).

The state has obligations to pay a set amount for the life of the contract

Now it seems LSU is screwed.

How so?

The state is on the hook for the contract.

LSU may have made out like a bandit.

BK may have to rely on the state to pay him what is owed.

Good luck with that.
quote:

You realize that trying this play would make any future coaching contract you put in front of a coaching candidate worth less than the price of the paper, right?

If it’s the same contract - yes.

What kind of an agent would allow for that?

Those “loopholes” have been exposed.

I can’t see them being in future contracts.
quote:

Kirby Smarts buyout is $105 million ffs.

Does he get it all if he decides to just up and leave?

Not all contracts are the same, even if the amounts are all crazy.
quote:

He provided an opening for it to end with a termination for cause and a battle with the state over the damages.

I think people are missing this part.

The lawsuit is against the state.

If the state loses…he has to (somehow) extract that money from them.

That means the money people STILL have that cash readily available.

If I misunderstood the current circumstances, tell my where I’m wrong.
quote:

Kelly really doesn't want a protracted lawsuit. He knows LSU can't afford one in the court of public opinion while conducting a new coaching search.

quote:

This is way riskier than I think you are appreciating it to be.

As I understand it, this puts the responsibility on paying his contract in the hands of the state.

That frees up millions (if not tens of millions) in private funds to go get a new coach / NIL.

If I have understood correctly…

BK is fricked
and
LSU is stacked

ETA - Sexton won’t allow for these loopholes to exist in any contract signed by a coach he represents.
quote:

I'll add to it.... also someone who is owed all of his buyout if he wants it

Owed by whom?

The state?

Good luck.

Technically there isn't a 10 year absurd deal without SW.

That is unknown. It could have happened with another AD at the helm.

No matter, any agreement that he brokered still had to subsequently approved.

Firings, on the other hand, have to be approved by the BOS before he can act.

He doesn’t have total hire / fire capability (even if his recs are typically followed).

A grand slam hire.

However, this current clusterfrick rests solely at his feet.

How could he not know what the limits of his authority were?
quote:

BK can either agree to a settlement and be free to pursue other opportunities or he'll be tied to LSU for the next 6 years same as coach O. BK will get paid. Just
a matter of how soon.

Why would LSU settle?

The judgement (assuming that there is one) will come from the state.

I just can’t see the legislature ponying up.

Additionally, BK may have a skeleton or two in the closet.

That info is going to come out (if it exists).

I don’t see the upside for him here.

Supposedly he turned down 30 million, and followed that up with this lawsuit.

In short, LSU boosters may have saved bank, but can they get another coach to come in after this (potential) legal sleight of hand?
quote:

If it was for cause the steps to fire him were not followed so it’s moot. Too bad.

Which steps is that.

Woodward didn’t have the authority to fire him without BOS approval.

To my knowledge, that didn’t happen.

He is STILL being paid (or was until very recently).
quote:

LSU is going to wind up paying Kelly more than $53 million.

Only in theory.

The state of Louisiana will be on the hook.

Good luck getting a dime.
Speaking of welcoming terrorists…

you have never denounced Charlie Kirk’s assassination, despite MULTIPLE opportunities to do so.

Just admit that you support acts of violence.

It’s okay, everyone here knows that you are a goose-stepper.

The left is vile and violent…and you and you ilk support those that are violent.

I don’t agree.

I would suggest that most know that they are scamming, and are more than okay with doing so.

This is all I really intend to post here at this site. I may respond to this topic, though.

Were you paid you to post here?

How did you find out about “this site?”

Not even naming “this site” is a red flag for me. It suggests that you have flooded any site possible with your diatribe (if what you wrote is even remotely true).

Given those attributes , your post reeks of scam artist.
