I think he was trying to tell Macron that since every other country in the middle east has ballistic missiles aimed at and capable of hitting France, it would be unfair if Iran wasn't also allowed to have such missiles aimed at and capable of hitting France.

The world is going to watch thousands of Iran citizens get killed in collateral damage?

Yes, this is very likely.

quote:

You cant even think about doing this without boots on the ground.

You most certainly can, but it would lead to much of the collateral damage you previously mentioned.
Y'all ever think that maybe the reason why we aren't doing the things that posters on this board think are obvious and simple solutions to ending this war (like bombing the Iranian government into submission or seizing Kharg Island) is because we can't do them at a cost that we find acceptable?

We've controlled the skies over Iran for quite some time now. It wouldn't take 72 hours for the United States Air Force to take out every oil well, every pipeline, every bridge, and every railroad station in the entire country. We could send them back to the stone age without a single Marine setting foot in the country. I don't really think this is a debatable topic. If we did this, however, they would obviously send every possible asset to sink any oil tankers transiting the S of H, but how is this different than the German U-Boats trying to prevent us from supplying Britain during WW2? We were able to get most of it through and wiped them out during the process. We can and would do that again.

The question is, why haven't we done this?

Is it the humanitarian issues? (i.e. the catastrophic collapse of the Iranian economy) I haven't seen where Orange has ever been concerned about optics.

Is it the fear of losing 10% of the worlds oil production? This would be painful in the short term but Venezuela alone could make up that difference in short order with competent production companies.

Is China playing a larger role we don't know about? I've noticed quite a difference in Orange's Iran strategy since he visited with Xi. Maybe they made a deal.

Why have the Saudis been so quiet? For most of my life, the Saudi Royals controlled most of what happened in the ME, especially when it came to US policy. Their silence on current events could be very telling.

I will honestly say that I have no idea why we haven't completed the project we started, but there has to be a reason. It's not because we can't.

Can't believe this doesn't have more upvotes. How quickly people forget.

I really don't mind some of my money going to the 150,000+ tax paying workers at Raytheon and Lockheed, many of whom I know personally. I also don't mind our military forces getting some practice every now and then. I DO mind when some pansy arse liberal steals my money or wastes it some bullshart giveaway program that doesn't really benefit anyone but themselves or their special interest groups.
I find it hard to stereotype Aggies because there's so damn many of them. I know I'm biased in Texas, but I don't think I've ever been anywhere that there wasn't an Aggie in the group, including Europe. I doubt the University of India graduates as many people.

That's what we thought with coaches. Surely no other school would swoop in with a higher salary and lower buyout offer. That would be insane, right?
No, but it certainly makes LSU look like a high school team after that drubbing by the A&M team that the U kicked to the curb.

Yeah, he's a statue in the pocket and takes a lot of sacks. Simmons was probably better.
That's pretty good. This absolutely supports the axiom "Defense Wins Championships".

By week 11 and through the end, Vanderbilt and Notre Dame were in the top 3 offenses and neither made the playoffs, but all of the top 3 defenses did.

There's an old axiom that if you took all the money in the world and redistributed it equally among all the people in the world, within a decade it would end up right back in the hands of the people who have it today.
I believe that will happen with college football as well. This era of parity will be short-lived, and Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and others will find a way to swing it back in their favor.

With another good showing on Thursday night they just might. I know they like guys with NFL experience but Weis has the pedigree. I would love to see what he could do with Jayden Daniels.

Most definitely, but that was very sad. This one has been hilarious.

So I've been missing the scoop all this time by not using ClutchPoints as my Preferred Source?
Why have all you rantards kept this to yourself?

You'd better get to class, Kitten, or you'll end up in detention hall.

The question isn't whether you would accept the penalty or not because, as you said, that's a no brainer.

The question is "Why wouldn't the offense always commit whatever foul is necessary to keep the defense from scoring on a turnover in OT?"

There seems to be no repercussions.
If Wolfman Jack was still alive he'd be howling Hotty Toddy from coast to coast.
So much truth in that article, and LSU fans response is as predictable as the democrat response to the Trump election. I would say dig your heels in Tigers, but heels require feet, and feet require legs, and LSU doesn't have a leg to stand on. Spew as much vitriol as you like, but America isn't blind.
