What would a Florida fan know about this topic? You only have one RB to brag about and Emmitt was a long time ago.

McFadden, Chubb, Henry and I’m sure I missed a few, all in this discussion for different reasons.
McFadden was electric and ranks 3rd all time in SEC yardage with 4590 yards and a 5.8/carry career mark
Chubb was a workhorse despite two ACL surgeries and ranks 2nd all time with 4769 yards and a 6.3/carry career mark
Henry had the best season of the 3, setting the SEC record with 2219 yards.

Entertaining as hell. One of the few kids in college I would specifically buy a ticket to see.

Adrian Peterson and it ain’t close.

You need to go rewatch McFadden tape if you think all he could do was get to the edge.
I just did.
It was what I remembered.
I don't mind the argument, "who needs to break tackles when they don't get their hands on you".
But you watch him and it is immediately evident (as he lines up 12 yards behind the line of scrimmage) that he isn't a battering ram. He is a slingshot.
He isn't running through defenders in A gap. He is getting through an effective blocking scheme untouched (one of the big advantages to wild hawg is the numbers game).
Chubb does all of that. And gets the big home runs after running through defenders.

Derrick Henry
He isn’t there yet with only 8,335 career rushing yards. But if he can just stay healthy and plays 3 to 4 more years he almost certainly will have over 12,000 yards and make it.

No running back has ever had over 12,000 career yards and not made it. Neither Adrian Peterson nor Frank Gore are eligible yet, but they will make it once they are.

Hard to argue considering he played for Arkansas. But he did have other top Backs teams had to watch too. It makes a big difference when you are the only Back and have everyone watching you and no real reliever.

Yes Henry isn’t there yet by statistical standards, but there are exceptions aka Terrell Davis.
Your career stats can be overlooked in some instances which falls in Henry’s favor.
He’s 6’3 250 lbs and has had a 99 yarder and a 94 yarder while stiff arming fools for fifty plus yards. His other records
First player to record a 200+-yard and 4+-touchdown game on fewer than 22 carries
Tied for longest run in NFL history at 99 yards (Tony Dorsett – 1982)
First player in NFL history with 180+ rushing yards in three consecutive games
Most rushing yards in first 4 playoff games: 561
First player to have 180+ rushing yards in consecutive playoff games
I know TD was incredible in the Super Bowl which Henry has not been to, but those NFL Playoff records way very heavily in regards to the HOF.
It’s the only reason Terrell Davis is in the HOF, he was unreal in the playoffs. Probably the best ever playoff back, but only like 7500 career yards.

Great back.
I see McFadden as a better version of Reggie. Better athlete and was able to remain the focal point of the offense.

It’s a sports board, anyone can have an input you fricking moron. I don’t just jerk off to my team’s highlights and immediately get defensive if someone has an alternative opinion about a player lol. I probably know more about Georgia than you do bc I actually know the game.
I suppose you can’t identify a 1,000 yard receiver bc Georgia has had so few? It’s an open discussion on college football you child.

There have been some all-time great college RBs this century, including at GA, LSU, Bama, and other SEC schools and in other conferences.
I lean toward McFadden being the best for several reasons, even over Peterson. He was big (same size, if not heavier than Peterson), lightning fast and hit top speed in a couple steps (faster than Peterson), ran just as well inside as out, played for an idiot coach, had no passing game support, and shared the backfield with not one, but two future starting NFL running backs. And McFadden still put up those numbers, and he was often fighting injuries, including a severe foot injury. He finished second in the Heisman voting two years in a row.
Consider his stats, which have been posted. Then consider that during those years, Felix Jones ran 386 times for 7.7 yards per carry (he would have been in this conversation if not for McFadden), and Hillis ran 140 times for 5.1 yards per carry. Greatest backfield in history imo.
Chubb was great. Henry and Fournette were scary good, as was Peterson. Bush was electric in the open field. Gordon and Taylor were studs. Barkley was great. I really like Bijan Robinson, dude is dynamic.
But I give McFadden the edge as being better in college than all of them. McFadden’s stats were often just as good against the best teams.

McFadden missed almost 50 percent of his games because of injuries.
When he got drafted at Oakland it was said it was the worst offensive line in the league.

Don't forget the fourth running back Micheal Smith who led the SEC in rushing.

Real question is who do you pick to go in your backfield if the game was played tomorrow. And the answer is Adrian Peterson with McFadden as his back up.
All Day was almost never healthy in college and when he was, he was unstoppable. He’s the best all around tailback in the last 20 years. And it’s also why he broke like every record his rookie year in the NFL, dude was unreal and almost never healthy all year at Oklahoma but he was the best tailback overall.
McFadden is 2nd. No one had home run threat like him and people in here saying he couldn’t break tackles obviously haven’t watched his highlights. He’d concuss dudes with his stiff arms. You also need to look at how many teams actually slowed down McFadden in 30+ games. Very few had tremendous success keeping him down. Probably only a handful come to mind.
Henry is 3rd. Chubb, Gurley, and Ezekiel Elliot round out the rest.

Peterson played on more talented teams in an easier conference.

I'm not knocking your opinion.
You are absolutely welcome to it.
I'm just laughing at Scar being the measuring stick for greatness.
Greyson Lambert was 24 for 25 passing against the gamecocks. 330 yards. 3 TDs.
Dawg fans don't typically call out Carolina fans to tell us how great Lambert was.
Because Lambert had a single good game against SC. McFadden shredded SC all 3 years. Not quite the same comparison that you're trying to make.
