How many championships were stolen from past teams due to bias?

There is also no need for conference championships.

Gonna piss off a lot of people with this, but I'd go with 2011 Oklahoma St. Geez that was hard to say.

Alabama or LSU slow them down while putting up 40+ on them.

This is a problem with the new playoffs ranking structure, not with the old playoff.

No auto bids and no committee moving forward. Rank them 1-12 using BCS and play it out.

The rankings were retarded. We're talking about Boise St. and Arizona St. being the #3 and #4 teams in the country. No one believed that.

LSU fans might not like this, but if the USC teams from 2003 - 2009 were allowed to compete in a playoff format, they would have won 3 - 4 titles instead of the 1 1/2 they did win. 2006 SC was definitely better than any title contender team. 2008 would have given those Florida and OU teams all they could handle as well. 2007 would have gotten hot and started romping.
I watched those guys firsthand for about six years and watched a lot of Notre Dame teams from that era play other elite or supposedly elite teams from the SEC and elsewhere. SC in that era was just unbelievably good then but would lose a random arse game to an Oregon State or Stanford or whoever.

I miss the era when the south always had someone play for the title.
Two straight years of yankee teams

It’s going to 16 teams sooner than later.

Is it fair for a team to have to beat another team twice in the same season?
Is it fair for a higher ranked team to have to play an extra game, while a lower ranked team gets a bye into the next round?
Just because we now have a bracketed playoff system doesn't mean it's a better way of doing things.

I’m fine with that. I love football and the more the better.
IMO opinion this was the most enjoyable season in a long time.

How is “2004 Auburn was robbed” still a thing
. Do people really think they would have beat that USC team?
People are just looking at the final result and saying Oklahoma didn’t deserve to be #2 heading into the bowl games. All of the numbers below are AFTER Oklahoma lost by 36 to #1 USC and Auburn beat #10 Virginia Tech by 3.
SP+
2004 Auburn 27.6
2004 Oklahoma 27.2
Sagarin
2004 Auburn 93.33
2004 Oklahoma 92.60
SRS
2004 Auburn 19.86
2004 Oklahoma 21.23
SOS
2004 Auburn 1.94
2004 Oklahoma 6.85
Margin of Victory
2004 Auburn 20.8
2004 Oklahoma 18.0
Even after getting their asses blasted by USC, Oklahoma is still nearly dead even with Auburn in SP+, Sagarin, MOV. They’re still ahead in SRS and SOS. And heading into the bowl games, Oklahoma was ahead of Auburn in SP+, Sagarin, MOV.
