Correct, so this makes the most sense:

t.u. - Ark
OU - OSU
Aggy - LSU
Missouri - Kansas

Neither OU nor OSU want to make that game an OOC game. Once OU leaves for the SEC, OU will not being playing OSU for the foreseeable future.

I'd take any team over Missouri, that's a terrible way to end the season as most Hogs, players and fans, have checked out of the season the previous week.

It would be good to open our season with Missouri, they could turn that into something. But I would much rather end the season against a team in the West.. even if we weren't playing for first it was always fun kicking the shite out of LSU ruining their hopes at any kind of title shot.

Will it continue to be the "Brunch" game like it has been the last few years?

I have heard the exact opposite. My Chokelahoma friends insist that no matter what other OOC games blowU has, one of them will be cowboy lite

It's been that almost every year. They will never make that a night game being surrounded by Fair Park in Dallas.

The years where both teams have been top 5, or even 1 and 2, in the past: it's still always at 11.

Lol that was not the diss you thought it was

I suspect Thanksgiving ends up:

OU/Texas

Absolutely, positively NOT! OU-Texas is and has always been held during the Texas state fair on the 2nd Saturday in October, its unique time/place/format is more recognized than Bama/Tennessee's 3rd Sat in October. If anything Thanksgiving will be OU-Okie Lite.

Does the Cotton Bowl meet SEC standards for stadiums or will SEC have to make an exception for this game?

Not according to OU, OU's leadership, the President and Castiglione have both mentioned their intent on playing this game. OSU however is balking, they may not want that auto loss 9 out of every 10 years.

Texas/OU will stay at the State Fair.

Texas vs TAMU on Thanksgiving is several decades worth of tradition. TAMU vs LSU on Thanksgiving weekend is like 7 or 8 games old.

I'm fine playing whoever on Black Friday. But I would not be surprised to see Texas vs A&M back on Thanksgiving

That makes the least sense.

Ark and t.u. is the most compelling rivalry weekend matchup. That's your biggest rival.

LSU/A&M is perfect
Kansas and Missouri are back at it.
Abd the Bedlam survives.

All returns to normal if ark and t.u. play that week.

I don't know what Tulane has to do with anything, but assuming you mean the school you couldn't get into: how is it normal for Texas to play Arkansas, a team they've never played on thanksgiving weekend, instead of a&m, a team they've played on thanksgiving weekend 100+ times?

Has to be. Fair Park is in such a bad part of town the fans need to be out of there before the sun starts sinking.

That's the issue, in bold. Thanksgiving is now lost to the NFL. I don't see A&M-Texas playing on Thanksgiving, and have zero interest in a Friday game (worst day of that weekend to play--if you have to travel, it still ruins your Thanksgiving). If you play that game on the Saturday following Thanksgiving, it's just another rivalry game in a very crowded schedule

We still get numbers??

What day of the year would A&M be ok with playing big bad Texas?

LSU vs Oklahoma on the final weekend makes the most sense. Unless Oklahoma State is some how forced on the Sooners.

Who knows what they are going to do. Should be interesting to see how they set it up for good balance and clarity in determining the two teams that will play in the SEC champ game.

The best I have seen is two/three permanent opponents and rotating everyone else. I would prefer playing LSU the last week just bc tailgating in Red Stick is a lot more fun. But not going to lose to much sleep on whatever is decided.

I've always thought the LSU/A&M series had the potential to grow into one of the anticipated rivalry week series. LSU for all the anticipated "rival" series we've had, they aren't really reciprocated as the natural rival on the other side

Bama (Auburn)
Florida (UGA/FSU)
Ole Miss (State)

Given the history of the series and the geography, it seems like a natural rivalry week game with Aggy not playing Texas anymore. Given recent results...74-72, the Jimbo angle, 50-7, Max Johnsons go ahead TD and then transferring to Aggy. All the elements are there to grow into a heated rivalry series. I kind of hate to see Texas come back into the fold and dig up those seeds that have been planted between LSU and A&M.
