Doesn't matter, he's ineligible per the NCAA and is playing under a TRO.
Butttttt he didn't sign a contract or declare for the draft!!!! It's a zillion percents diffrant!
They refuse to see it. The contract stuff really doesn't matter. The NCAA said on 3 occasions that Trinidad had exhausted his eligibility. Ole Miss refused to accept that, got a friendly judge to issue a TRO to allow him to play. The SEC could do the same thing here. "Yeah you've got a TRO but the NCAA says you're ineligible. So you're not welcome to play in the SEC." Its inconsistent. My thing would be if the NCAA says you're not eligible, the conference won't welcome you. Its that easy to avoid all this TRO bullshite.

Well as long as he never played pro ball!
I for one appreciate you matching the histrionic bullshite being spewed from the other side of this issue.
Ole Miss fans bout to be so mad at Dr. Pepper.

If Baggy knew how to use a computer doodad, he'd school you non players of ball on how you build out a roster of gritty, hard arse, rub some dirt on it types that go win championships.

Whaaaaaaaat? A player who signed a professional contract, appeared in professional games, filed an injunction to return to college and isn't returning to his prior team?
It sounds....vaguely familiar. Topical even.

Just kidding. Ole Miss did it and I'm absolutely steamed and morally outraged over it! Banish them to the depths of all hells.

That should be the story. But it isn't. Now his reputation has gotten him labeled as the Jerry Jones of baseball. Meddlesome. Difficult to work for. The guy who fired his GM after winning a title.

Oh ok cool. I guess that'll last right up until Ohio State wants to do it (as Ryan Day indicated) and they go find a friendly judge to issue an injunction.
