Many of your compadres dismiss any criticism as the musings of a whorn troll

You yourself have hinted at such in this very thread.

In regards to your senseless rambling about something happening to me in regards to A&M:

You’re wrong. A&M is just a cautionary tale for all other conferences when considering who to include.

Imagine arbitrarily choosing top 4 instead of top 5 to fit your narrative and score points on an Internet message board

Let's explain this slowly:

College Basketball

There is this thing called the "Final Four" and it's the semifinals of college basketball that everyone watches. Teams hang banners in their respective gymnasiums for these accomplishments.

A&M has not come remotely close to this in their history, so it's understandable they don't see the significance.

College Baseball

There's this thing called the "College World Series" hosted every year in Omaha. A&M, while not personally experiencing it all that much, knows what this is by seeing their daddy Texas and step-daddy LSU play in it so constantly.

In order to reach the national semifinals which occurs in the College World Series, a team would need to win at least 2 games before losing 2 in order to reach that round.

A&M has not come remotely close to this in their history, so it's understandable they don't see the significance.

College Football

There's this thing called the "College Football Playoff" that matches the best four teams, or at least the teams ranked 1-4 in the country, to play for the national championship to end the season.

A&M has not come remotely close to this in their history, so it's understandable they don't see the significance.

HOWEVER, they finished 5th or 6th that one time before the playoff existed with their greatest male athlete in the history of their school... and they still lost two games at home to SEC competition.

One of which was to their at-the-time-new step-daddy, LSU. A first loss of many that would start an seemingly never-ending era of domination in a "rivalry" (in quotations because only considered a rivalry by one of the two schools) by one program over the other. Akin of what A&M had in the Big 12 with another team before they left due to fear and tiredness from constantly being dominated.

Imagine supporting a team so historically bad at college athletics that you have to change the parameters of the statistic to seem less desperate and pathetic on an Internet message board...

Fake news.

A&M baseball finished #2 in the nation in 1989.

Natties since 2000 for those interested:

Fla (5): 2x Football, 2x Basketball, 1x Baseball
LSU (5): 3x Football, 2x Baseball
Ala (5): 5x Football
SCw (2): 2x Baseball
Van (2): 2x Baseball
Aub (1): 1x Football
Ken (1): 1x Basketball

Half the conference isn't bad

I think Tenn had a football natty just a couple years before 2000 so honorable mention there.

Even if we start in the 90s...who from the SEC would join you as far as nattys? Mizzou and the two Mississippi schools?

My favorite reply.

A&M failed to make the CWS that year, yet claim it as a top 4 finish because they've never sniffed an actual top 4 finish

All while future step-daddy ended their season, and they watched daddy Texas play for the national title (did I mention that A&M has never come remotely close to competing for a national title in baseball? I think I covered that above).

Seriously, no troll, that's pretty unreal.

What's also unreal is their mentality that the SECW is basically:

"Alabama...then LSU/A&M/Auburn in the same cup."

No, no you didn’t. You failed to make the CWS. You finished ranked 8th.

From 1940 until now, the only argument you can make to disprove your total ineptitude is one college baseball poll from 1989

Should we change the list to "final four teams to compete for the national championship"?

The fact that y'all are bragging about finishing #2 in a final poll when you didn't even make it to the dance that mattered is pretty pathetic.

Then again, one of your prouder posters on this site has a photo of Bregman wearing an A&M hat because that photo is literally the single closest thing to greatness A&M baseball has ever accomplished

so you're saying the goal should be to be ranked #2 in baseball as oppose to playing for the trophy....I mean I guess you can put the goalpost there if you want...I just don't see why
