Texas A&M (-6) vs Arkansas...why does this feel like a misprint to me?

Easy money here? You got to feel as though Arkansas has turned a bit of a corner and A&M is not there yet. Leaning towards Arkansas as the outright winner here.

I also admit that betting on college sports is the quickest way to lose money and the casinos know it....sooooo

A&M has a really good defense and could disrupt us pretty bad

Hoping their OL is still shite/developing on Saturday and our front seven can take advantage

The line isn't terrible imo

It's at Jerry World, been a neutral site game for a decade now

1. It's not at Kyle Field. If it was, the line would be -13.

2. Arkansas has one of the worst pass offenses in the country and A&M is the #1 pass defense, #1 scoring defense and #9 total defense.

3. Arkansas hasn't played a game with a crowd that isn't completely in their favor this season. A&M has.

4. If A&M had covered the spread against Colorado, this conversation isn't happening.

Game is not at Kyle Field. Game is at ATT Stadium in Arlington, TX. Arkansas will be the designated Home team in this one. The line is what Vegas dictates in order to get even money on each side. Nothing more. Arkansas has proven they can play sound football - especially on the defensive side. I think the game will depend on whether atm can connect when the Hogs' defenders turn aggie WRs loose in the defensive backfield, as they have had a tendency to do on occasion. So far, utex, Rice and GA Southern have not been able to connect. I do expect Arkansas to run well and score points. The defense will determine the winner.

Kellen Mond threw for a career high 81% last year and Jalen Wydermyer feasted.

Calzada has actually thrown downfield more this season than Mond did his entire career.

Arkansas is ranked #86 in pass offense right now. That's bottom third in the country and bottom four in the conference.

Your guy has thrown 9 more passes than our guy, with 2 less completions and 174 less yards.

I know it’s your back up, but your other guy isn’t coming back anytime soon.

I hope your team comes into the game thinking we have the worst passing offense in the country. What a stupid statement on your part.

The line has nothing to do with who will win. It only serves to equalize the distribution of wagers.

A&M's pass defense = #1 in the conference and #1 NATIONALLY

Arkansas pass offense = #11 in the conference and #86 nationally.

Jefferson has not faced pressure at all this season nor has he faced a crowd that wasn't 95% friendly.

That's about right. KJ is improving each game but still hasn't proven he's to the level of QB play needed to be a top 10 team.

That said, a big reason for that is that we haven't needed him to. We've rushed for like 280 yards per game. His best passing attribute is his arm strength and we really haven't asked him to use it much.

But I get A&M -6 because there's still some unknown as to whether he'll come through when we need it

I too enjoy throwing out stats with no context

We didn’t throw in the Texas game because we didn’t have to - KJ was slinging it everywhere against Georgia Southern and looked decent. He’s got a great deep ball.

aTm is desperate for a rebound game after Colorado.

Two weeks for the new QB to prepare.

They won’t play Texas, but beating the team that destroyed them is a big motivation.

They’re approaching this as a statement game.

Arkansas already made a statement.

The line is about right imo.

I guess we'll find out Saturday. Here's to a well officiated, injury free game.

I don't know how this lie got so popular. I guess it might have been true at one point, but the majority of bets come no where close to 50/50 money and if Vegas was setting lines that were clearly off, the sharps would eat them alive.

The line is exactly what Vegas thinks its going to be and lets the line float and move to hedge if their exposure tips too high in one direction. Rest assured, Vegas thinks that A&M is 6 points better than Arkansas on a neutral field.
