We're also 3-0 vs the spread this year

As for A&M long term this isn't a one time shot and if we do disappoint this year we will still be fine. We have a very stable and quality coaching staff. We have truly elite facilities and literally more money than we can spend. We have built a strong recruiting pipeline into the Houston area that is becoming dominant while still doing well in the rest of Texas and getting National guys. A&M isn't going away as much as many of you would like it to happen.

How could we ever forget your ‘potential’ and ‘sleeping giant’ness?

Sure, but A&M has never had resources at this level before. Not remotely. Hell in the '00s the AD had to take out a loan to stay afloat and now we are making about $50 mill a year in profit. We have the largest stadium and alumni base in the SEC along with the largest student body. Texas has exploded in population and the Houston area is over 8 million in the Metro with A&M being the closest Major school. That doesn't mean we will win it all but it does mean we have a very high floor, money and recruiting proximity is hard to screw up.

we lose to Arky and we are probably looking at 9-3 or so which would be a disappointment.

This is where most of your fanbase is drinking koolaid. You drop this game and 8-4 would be a huge victory. If we win by a couple of scores, which is way more possible than any of you will admit, You are looking at a possible 6 win season. The west looks as deep as it has ever been this year and A&M has looked shaky at best.

If we slap you in the face with some harsh reality, the wheels are coming off and battered aggie syndrome will come back into full effect.

It's right below the surface. Aggie's feel like they are right there. So close to becoming one of the elite in college football. Some have even told themselves that last year was proof they have made it. The ominous cloud of TX/OU coming in has made those old feelings start to well up in the background.

Order is about to be restored Aggies. You are a middle of the pack program. You just need some old friends to remind you of that.

Hopefully Catalon won’t get tossed in the first quarter because of the worst rule in sports this time.

He got ejected for fumbling the ball out the back of the endzone for a touchback?

Sure. As of now we haven't lost a football game in over a year though so when that is the starting point and you are hoping to improve it's not a bad spot. The potential isn't if A&M can be a Top 10 Team consistently it is whether A&M can beat Bama and win Titles. The talent is there and the resources are there and we have a HC who has a ring of his own already. When we win our 11th in a row 34-0 and walk away disappointed and talking about how we need to improve that's not a terrible thing.

So now Arkie is not only going to win but is going to win by a few TD's? K. I guess we will see. I'm on the sig bet thread so bring it.

What you took from my post is a great example of the willful ignorance being displayed by your fanbase at the moment. Read it again and realize I'm not trolling you but telling you the uncomfortable truth you know but are trying to suppress.

Do you feel like Arkansas can play any better than they have so far?

You sound to me like someone who doesn't really know much about sports betting. My best advice to you is keep you money in your pocket.

Had you made a knowledgeable post about sports betting my advice to you would be, keep your money in your pocket.

Any team can play better than they have so far. This is really the prayer you guys are hanging on. That you have just played down to competition and haven't put together a really good game yet. Hey, that might be the case and I'll happily eat some crow after the game if that comes to pass. I don't see it though. I think you are what you have shown. A team with a good D and a lot to figure out on the offensive side of the ball. We match up well against that.

You can't say with a straight face that A&M has put together a really good game this season.

Will assume this game will be a nail biter to the finish, as it is every year, until proven otherwise

All bullshite aside, this is the most reasonable take in this thread
