With a lot of coaches changing jobs, the 9 game schedule, 105 football scholarships, a cap on NIL spending….
Which teams will truly ascend toward the top.
Each of us thinks our team will of course. I will list a couple with comments.

I see Kentucky recruiting players on a national level which I have not seen before. They are bringing in highly sought after guys for visits. They may not sign that many but they have stepped up who they are after. This will pay dividends in the future.

Whichever programs can master NIL salary cap balance (like NFL) and whichever programs get really good at clearing additional NIL funds through the Clearinghouse.
Same thing it's always been - those who figure out how to spend more and spend correctly will have the advantages.

State is on the ascend...simply because I don't think we could go much lower and we have a young QB with actual upside for the first time in 10 years that we can build around.

A lot of teams will be hyped based on what they did this year and for some other reasons perhaps and a majority of those teams won't finish close to where they were predicted to finish.

For some reason Missouri has dome trouble hanging on to some of its top players. If Drink could keep most or all of them his record would improve drastically. He recognizes talent. He should have had Lacy this year not Ole Miss. if Mizzou can get that corrected they will be upper tier SEC.

State is indeed on the rise with a talented offense and creative coach, needs to improve in defense. You seem to be recruiting better in state.

Hartline may be over his head as a head coach right now. He was a great position coach and recruiter, but a pretty mediocre offensive coordinator so I dont know how he makes the jump to an even bigger role before mastering his previous position.
If he does turn out to be a great head coach he'll be gone from South Florida and at a big ten or SEC team within two years anyway though.

I don’t think Auburn will. We’re cursed with idiocy in the administration.

Yall hiring Cohen away from us was such a head scratcher. He’s terrible

Look for the Gators to be improved big time.

I definitely like how Silverfield is building out the Arkansas roster. Not saying we will be elite next year but I think he's building the roster out better than it's been.
We will have much better athletes in key positions than a year ago.
Hopefully we can sustain that and build consistency.... we shall see but on paper the improvement is obvious.

At some point, if everyone is improving their roster and filling holes, all the change just cancels out and there is actually not much change. Everyone stays about the same just with more chaos and drama.

Nah. Most of our croots are depth chart fillers.

It couldn't be much worse than last year.
I suspect we will enjoy a mild upswing. Which is super important for this area. A lot of places have boosters who will donate no matter what. Big money in NW Arkansas expects to see results for their money and they won't pour money into a loser... unless they are planning to take it over.

I have been impressed with what Kentucky is doing. I will be watching their new coach closely
I am interested to see if A&M matches the FU money to Coleman. My guess is that Elko won't upset the locker room chemistry to do so
I'm interested to see what Kiffin is able to cobble together. I'm enjoying all the QB's telling him no. The shine is off of Kiffin
Texas will be desperate. Next year is Arch's last year and their rich boosters want results
All in all, I agree very little will change except a position or two in the pecking order.

USF with Hartline
The one thing that might hold them back is the hiring of their new OC, Tim Beck...he is not good.
