Taking these players is the morally correct position

At the end of last football season, theseclass of 22 players were told they were out of eligibility. Since they were able to avoid some
serious debilitating condition like tonsillitis, they had no means of appealing for another year.
So they entered the draft because what else would they do? Don’t get drafted, go play as camp
bodies and get cut, and clear waivers.
While this is happened the NCAA announced that hey we’re gonna just give everyone 5 years. Well, not everyone, not you.
Talking about ethics and fairness. Is any of that fair to these players?
The answer of course is no, that is not fair.

The NCAA fricked this by rolling out a rule after the NFL draft but before the football season started.

98% of the college football world is adamantly against this. Yall are a little biased here because it is your team. Yall are Livy Dunn mental gymnastics here to rationalize why this is a good thing. Yall would probably be Olympic level.

Baw, this will force the SEC's hand very quickly. The Big 10 already ruled against it. I predict the SEC will also.

He was I'll and couldn't play. It was a medical redshirt. He never entered for the draft and dressed out for NFL teams in pre season games then decided he was still an "amateur".

Agree with this wholeheartedly. As a matter of fact, I'd take it a step further: The NCAA purposely rolled the rule out when they did so that teams trying to take advantage of it would stir up controversy and push Congress harder to 'save' the NCAA.

That is not true. Ferris State did not keep records of his illness. He has been at the doctor the whole time it just wasn't documented correctly by the athletic department. That is the whole reason it was a slam dunk in court.

Both of these are incorrect. His first visit to a doctor about it was in August and he missed a lot of practice over it.
Visits with team doctors weren't tracked because D2 didn't have redshirts at the time.

Athletic departments aren’t in charge of keeping medical records for real doctors.

Well when he applied for his medical redshirt, Ferris State had no documentation to send in so it was denied. But once in court and the actual medical records were presented it was a slam dunk.
