Id say more like 50% lol. Just because your little social media feed is mainly this doesn't mean anything. Most people could care less. They, like you, just don't have the emotion fortitude to form their own unbiased opinion. You guys all jump on or make the little trend posts for clicks, likes, and interactions. You guys have the emotional maturity of a 12 year old little girl that just got her first period. If you weren't crying when Chambliss got his 6th year for a sore throat you shouldn't be crying that these guys get their 5th year. Time to grow up little boy.

No, there were other programs before us.
but, you still DID IT, and act like it was right then, but now we're wrong

And it was one player. Not multiple ones in basketball and multiple ones in football.
absolutely irrelevant, because you STILL DID IT

And we didn't spend a quarter-billion hiring coaches and players away from a team going into the playoffs right before that either, or rehiring a coach who had multiple infractions.
what does that have to do with players getting a 5th year?

You can see how the current optics aren't great.
thats your perspective so thank you for sharing it, but again, irrelevant. thanks for your concern and interest.

At the end of last football season, theseclass of 22 players were told they were out of eligibility. Since they were able to avoid some
serious debilitating condition like tonsillitis, they had no means of appealing for another year.
So they entered the draft because what else would they do? Don’t get drafted, go play as camp
bodies and get cut, and clear waivers.
While this is happened the NCAA announced that hey we’re gonna just give everyone 5 years. Well, not everyone, not you.
Talking about ethics and fairness. Is any of that fair to these players?
The answer of course is no, that is not fair.
you can argue “oh it’s ruining college football.” They played preseason football because they didn’t think they had any other options.
The NCAA fricked this by rolling out a rule after the NFL draft but before the football season started.
Please! We all know that if this was another team, that wasn't LSU, you would be just like the other 99% of the people and be against this.
You see nothing wrong with it because it's your team.
GTFO.

I see nothing wrong with it because these players were granted that 5th year but not until AFTER they decided to leave for the NFL.
The difference in the Olympics back in the day was you had to be an amateur athlete and not a paid professional athlete. But those things changed because every country used professional athletes.
Same here basically. College players aren't amateur players because they are paid..... a lot!! So do you believe these players shouldn't be allowed to come back because why... because they are now paid professionals??
Do you expect college teams to not explore this, based on what, morals? A court decided this, not Lane Kiffin.

Alabama for years under Saban acted morally above everyone.

No it isn’t.
It is,
You just care more about the ideals of college football than treating the players fairly

You will justify a ton of shite when it is your team despite very clear evidence.
We did it with Urban Meyer and his crimimals because we could say "Tebow" and ignore the crazy shite going on.

None of these players have committed a crime.
the took literally their own option at the time.
What else should they have done?

Did you feel this same way when Bama wanted Bediako? LOL
Poor LSU, having to defend Lane and the season hasn't started yet.

was Bediako a 2022 player who was forced to go pro because he was told he was out of eligibility only for the NCAA to change their rules?
Oh right, no he was not

I love all the Bama fans in this thread who want to lecture to us on the ethics of college football recruiting. LMAOOOOOO.
Spare me.
Spare me.

Alabama fans are nothing, if not massive hypocrites. There was one earlier saying Kiffin had to make the second round of the playoff in year 1 or LSU would be a laughingstock.
Meanwhile, their coach takes over a semifinal team and misses the playoff entirely after losing to several unranked teams, and they make excuses for it.

That’s the old rule. New rule is 5 for 5. No 6th year whatsoever.
