Your back up running back being “first round” talent is laughable. Your coaches don’t even think he’s good enough to start over a three star random from Wisconsin.

#1 RB in the country in his class. Had a good freshman year with a bad OL. He also isn't our "backup RB". RB situation will be more of a 1-2 punch with him and Jones. If you think Berry will be standing on the sideline all night you'll be sorely mistaken. He will be a 15+ touch a game guy minimum.

He literally had more talent around him than he'll have at LSU this year

He has

top 10 pick in LT Seaton
First round projected Trey Dez Green at TE
First round talent Harlem Berry at RB.

Maybe need to learn LSU's roster before just saying shite.

LSU fans will come in with their retard aggression and start shite in the Grove then find out they’re outnumbered 100,000 to 1

Cute that you will actually fill up for HS stadium that week. You're welcome.
quote:

Look at this shite he’s already stirring at lsu. He’s already gotten your fanbase to turn on a heisman winner.

Dumb. All the did was follow through on a promise to a kid. JD5's PR did a dumb thing and he's paying the price.

We liked the results not the person

Doesn't pass the smell test considering how yall treated him and defended him and begged for him not to leave. I know it's "unbelievable" to Ole Miss that he left but it makes perfect sense to those that aren't blinded by Ole Miss fandom. LSU is LSU and as much as it hurts you need to accept we will always be the better football job. Your team has never even make the SEC championship game. Things are easier to accept if you just admit who you are.
quote:

He’s a narcissist. They always wear out their welcome.

But he didn't wear out his welcome. Nobody at Ole Miss wanted him gone. Yall were borderline desperate for him to stay. Actually not borderline. Yall were desperate. Told us no way he would leave to come to LSU. Quit trying to change the past.

Was he playing the 85 Bears? 6 points with 4:00 left in the game?

Timed portion of a scrimmage likely. Scrimmages have all different types of formats. They may have played one timed quarter. Somebody at the scrimmage can likely give us context.
quote:

If your argument is that he can improve then sure. But to act like this guy is a hesiman candidate and good enough to win a natty is fricking retarded.

You would have been retarded to make the argument that Trinidad would have been one of the best QBs in the country going into last year. You would have been retarded to say Burrow was going to have the best season in the history of college football going into 2019. LSU fans are confident bc Lane never has bad QB play. And Leavitt has the physical tools to get the job done.

No particular issue with guys who never played professionally - like Pavia and the 100+ guys who got 5th, 6th, hell even 9th years like that.

So playing forever is cool? No limits on eligibility? Sinus infection equals 10th year. There is no consistency with your position. Either all of these guys should be eligible or none of them. Either the NCAA rules can be enforced or they can't. You can't want selective enforcing of the rules and think you are on the correct side of this.

To what extent was he hurt (he was definitely at least sort of hurt) and to what extent did he lose his confidence.

He had the same injury that made All Pro Derek Stingley look like he had never played football before.
quote:

We really should consider kicking LSU out of the conference, at this point they bring absolutely nothing to the table and the college/city/state is a national embarrassment

LSU has won 2 natties in football and 3 in baseball since yall won your last. STFU and actually win something and quit living off your brand.

Sankey is right to do this. Just as he was in the Alabama case. And hopefully in this pro-football situation.

Yea screw those guys wanting 5th years. I'm sure you feel the same about a guy getting a 6th year.

How'd that work out for Clemson last year.

Where is MRA?

I know a few people from the Kentwood area that sent their kids to Parklane over OFA. Currently have friends and relatives whose kids are at OFA and doesn’t have any complaints.

We live mid-parish and are torn between OFA and Courtney Christian to send our kids.

MRA is in Madison area near Jackson. Parklane is really our only option unless we wanna make the drive to OF. This thread actually made me do some asking around to my friends and family that have kids at Parklane and OF. They both seem very happy with the education their kids are receiving. I'm not familiar with Courtney Christian so I can't comment on that. My biggest question to my friends and family were if any woke nonsense was in either OF or PA and it was a resounding NO.
quote:

I don't see those teams beating Riversiide or AC "ask bad as the want to" if at all.

Maybe not as bad as they want to but they are beating them pretty good. Jackson Academy beat an MRA team by like 30 and that MRA team went to Catholic and beat them. Those schools in the Jackson area are the real deal.
quote:

This can be deceiving until you get in the mix of it. From my experience with schools like this, I'd estimate about 25% of the kids would be able to handle an honors level curriculum. That doesn't mean the others aren't good kids, but there's no advanced pacing for the ones who can take it on.

From what I know the typical MAIS schools in this region are very strong academically. I have family members that send their kids to MRA and Parklane Academy. I have friends that send their kids to OF. My kids currently go to a public school but I'm seriously considering sending them to Parklane. Apparently the vast majority of the student populations at these schools go to college and they have very high ACT scores.
quote:

Huh. I assumed the ball just kept rolling when I saw how many titles they have won when this thread made me poke around. Wiki said they won six of the last ten titles.

They've gone down in classification. They still win in their current class but they can't compete with the Parklane Academy and OFs anymore.
quote:

Historically Centreville is probably the best team on their schedule

Centreville has gone down in the past 10 years. The last few times they have played OF or Parklane they have gotten killed. I live in South Miss now and Centreville is losing enrollment. They aren't what they were in the past.

quote:

Dunno the quality now but back in my day OFA was very competitive but it was like LSU/Bama under the Bear: a very good team that couldn’t get titles because they couldn’t get past the one

They won a state championship a few years ago according to my friend that has kids there but his kids are young still so they didn't play on the team.
quote:

And yet they would have probably done better than 3-7 playing the teams OF does

I don't know anything about OF's football team but I see they played Parklane, Jackson Academy, and Jackson Prep. Those 3 teams would beat every team on STA's schedule by as much as they wanted too. Jackson Academy has several SEC caliber players including one of the top OL in the country that has LSU interest. My kids go to a school in the MHSAA but the MAIS has some really good football teams espcially from the Jackson area.
quote:

The principal there this year came from Bowling Green in Franklinton. He's a huge sports guy, in fact I'd dare say he cares about sports/academics 90/10. He's what we call out in the real world "a no talent pussy". He's a yes man for the board and that's why he's been promoted from football coach to running both schools. He will treat your kid like dogshit unless you're of some use to him.

Think you may have the wrong school. I have some friends in the area that send their kids there. I texted them asking about the school when I saw this thread. The guy in charge is from Amite and went to school there from the info they gave me.
quote:

Worse than St Thomas for sports and academics.

I can't speak on academics but I'd have a hard time believing they are worse than STA in sports. I watched their football team this year and it's the worst football team I have ever seen in my entire life. Looked like a middle school team.
quote:

This is very true….. Chalmette should just play their JV team. Maybe they can win that

My BIL kids go to MRA. I'm originally from BR but live in South Ms now. I didn't know much about MS football but going to watch my nephew play at MRA opened my eyes. They are impressive.
