I really have no clue how complex Monken's offense is, but sometimes complexity is detrimental. Some of the best, smoothest offenses in CFB history haven't been very complicated. Whatever the case, its working for UGA, and it is impressive to watch.

We have 8-9 Ferraris. Hell, we have 4 Ferraris at TE.

You know Tennessee's offense?
It is the exact opposite. /s

Monken is basically a WR coach.
It is a full field read.
And it is layered (every play has 4 formations that can be run out of and a couple of counters. Like a lot of offenses not belonging to Gus Malzahn).

Young WRs seem to struggle the most.
Offensive linemen have to be multiple. Lots of zone. Lots of power (I don't remember an offense that would flip the switch like we do).

It really is a good mix of playing to space, mismatching top weapons, and running multiple variations of the same presnap/postsnap with very different results.

Bryce may be the best QB at Bama under saban.

I think he is in terms of pure talent but I think his size will significantly hinder him in the NFL.

I disagree. Ferrari has some strict rules about their cars. It’s not truly yours when you buy it.

Stetson Bennett threw for 27 yards in the first half against Georgia Tech.

Bryce should be the unanimous Heisman winner this year. He deserves it even more than last year (when I would have had no qualms with J. Williams winning it). Alabama would be 6-6 without him.

Honestly, I think you're right. He's just not the best player on the best team which is a shame. That's how Heisman's are mostly determined these days.

We ran our 4th play of offense with 6 minutes left in the first quarter.
Drove 52 yards for goal to go. 2 penalties led to a field goal (should have been a PI call in our favor, but we won the game by 23. So whatever).

Next drive, we ran the ball 75 yards. Bennett completed the last 5 yards for a TD.

Finished the game with 2 TDs, 7.77 ypa, 0 INTs. He ran for 24 as well.
As is typical, he threw his last pass with about 14 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter (only pass for the quarter).

Didn’t read most of this thread but the way I look at it is similar to the way a lot of NFL offenses operate that are good. The offense is tailored to Stetson and he does his job, and to an extent goes beyond more than not. I’d say he’s above a game manager but not a super star. I’ve seen him ball when his team needed him to and be mistake free. And like I said, add on to the fact he’s had some flashes of super athletic greatness here and there over the last 18 months and you’ve got something Georgia can be proud of.

However, Bryce (at least with a #1 WR) has completely lit teams on fire almost by himself if he has a clean pocket and if we’re being real, the rest of his team has let him down on multiple occasions.

BoB throughout his whole career. His WR corps in the 2021 NC. The penalties in the Tennessee game. Dude is a god in crunch time and has been Alabama’s get out of jail free card for 2 years.

This isn’t to diminish Stetson’s impact though. I don’t think Caleb Williams or any of the QBs except maybe the TCU current guy would work in Georgia’s offense. Stetson is that dude and if you don’t see it, well, you’re just a homer dumbass.

QB scouting in the NFL is a joke. They fall in love with measurables and ignore the two most important aspects of QBing - can he process information quickly and can he throw accurately.

No scout is putting his professional reputation on the line for someone like Stetson. If he fails the organization jumps on the scout, "How could you grade him so high? He's too small and doesn't have a rocket arm!". If a Herbert or an Elway fail, the scout can blame it on coaching and development.

I think the kid can play at the next level, personally.

What if you have access to both ? Does said idiot still like to tool around in a split window coupe as opposed to a 308 GTS ?

When Bama needed a TD to put the UT and LSU games away, Bryce Young delivered a FG attempt..

Are you serious?
Young left the field with Alabama either ahead, or with an excellent FG attempt EVERY TIME it was critical!
If the finger is pointed to any area of the team, it needs to be in the direction of the defense.

Agree with this. The rest of us are lucky as hell that Bryce showed up at a time when the Derrick Henry's and Devonta Smith's of the world move on to the NFL (along with, especially, the Bama Defense).

Bryce beat Stetson in the SECCG last year and is a better QB. Nothing against Stetson, but Bryce is a better QB.

Brice is good whe plays break down which happens a lot with him. Stetson gets the ball out fast to the right receiver but that doesn't wow people. I prefer Stetson't talent because it wins more games.

Bryce will never do anything for me personally, but Stetson might be able to get me a million smooth one day if I bundle everything with his agency???

Stetson Is McCarron

So I counter McCarron vs Bryce?
