Hell we saw him fail to do so vs UT this year. You got the ball with 3:26 left and he couldn’t move you but 45 yards on 11 plays, and really he didn’t move you that far as during those 11 plays he had incompletions.
He threw a would be touchdown pass that was dropped by his RB on 2nd down. He was let down by his brain dead OC who refused to run the football and get an extra 5-7 yards to setup a FG as time expired instead of throwing it 3 times.
If your takeaway from the Alabama/Tennessee game is "Bryce Young? Meh" then you probably need to watch more football.

Biggest difference is 1. Georgias at the beginning of this run. They’re still hungry. Bama is toward the end. 2. Georgia has much more stable coaching environment and is able to keep good coordinators. Every time Saban gets a great coordinator and wins a natty his staff gets raided. Sark took most of the last staff with him.

The motion is more than just identifying coverage
Matchups to UGA's offense are not as important as coverage. There is no matchup to cover Brock fricking Bowers. The mere fact that he doesn't have 2000 yards receiving this season is a Testament to UGA's ability to run the ball effectively and not depend on Bowers so much.
If UGA needed a drive to win the game, Bowers would be leaned on heavily because he's the best player on the team. And it isn't close.

You picked the scenario, not me. I just reminded you of various times your QB of choice for that situation has failed to deliver over the last two years. Bryce young is great..when it’s not a game winning drive..

Kirby is on his 3rd OC and 3rd DC in 6 years…

No. The sack of shite threw for 340 yards and 3 TDs.
We are still pissed at stet for that /s
Looked like failure on the scoreboard though.

there's no serious Heisman case for Bryce Young but I'll give him this: every time he touched the ball with Alabama trailing in the 4th quarter this season he led a scoring drive to tie or take the lead. did not leave the field once in the 4th quarter (or OT) with Bama
When Bama needed a TD to put the UT and LSU games away, Bryce Young delivered a FG attempt..

What is your definition of "leaned on"?

Well, that isn't true at all. Even if he is the best offensive player on the team, he is at best the third most important.

No argument here.
With one caveat, the kicker very uncharacteristically missed the game winning FG after BY put him in pretty good position.

Put pressure on Bryce and he really is pretty average
You can’t possibly have watched Bryce play much. That’s literally when he’s at his best. He’s Houdini in the pocket and throwing on the move.

Yeah. Also known as a loss.
The only one we have had in 106 weeks thanks in large part to Stetson Bennett.
Not a lot of failure on the scoreboard the past 2 years.

Did Bryce Young fail to deliver a game winning TD in 3 game scenarios very similar to what you described? You know the answer, that’s why you’ve moved on to insults..

I'm not arguing that IV is the qb on a successful team. I'm saying he doesn't have to be Patrick Mahomes to win in his specific situation and that Todd Monken is no genius because he has Brock Bowers and the pleasure of the best defense in the country.

It was a 50 yard attempt..maybe the 3 incompletions right before it had something to do with that?

Also, pretty great when it is a game winning drive!
Trails 10-3, 1:32 to play @ Auburn at the 3 yard line
- Bryce Young - 85 pass yards, 12 rush yards, 1 game tying touchdown
- 4 Overtimes : 4/6, 1 TD, 1 2pt
- Wins 22-20
Trails 19-17, 1:29 to play @ Texas at the 25 yard line
- Bryce Young - 41 pass yards, 20 rush yards
- Wins 20-19
Trails 42-35, 14:01 to play @ Tennessee
- 2 drives : Bryce Young - 7/13, 121 yards, 1 TD, 1 drive into FG range
- loss 52-49
Trails 24-21, 1:47 to play @ LSU
- 2 drives : Bryce Young - 7/13, 110 yards, 1 go ahead TD, 1 game tying FG
- 1st OT : 6 yards passing, 11 yards rushing, 1 go ahead TD
- loss 32-31
3 of those games in 3 of the 5 most difficult road environments in college football and the 4th at a place that seats 110,000.

No the insults came because you made idiotic statements.

These were losses. When you needed a TD, you got a FG..because he kinda sucked on both last drives..
