I once read a story where someone asked a thrice divorced Stabler why he had trouble with marriages. Stabler responded that all he wanted to do is drive around in his truck, drink Jack Daniel whiskey, and that women just could not seem to understand that.

Back when he was doing Tiger Vision games, on the road he would hire off duty. private State Troopers to drive him around over the weekend.

I heard he could drink a case of beer between Tuscaloosa and Foley.

That’s where he meant Rose who was a very good high school friend of my brothers. They got married, but it did not end well.

I remember Bobby Hebert telling the story of when Chuck Muncie played for the Saints. He was out all night drinking and doing coke. Not sure if he ever went to bed. I am not quite old enough to remember him on the Raiders but remember him in those AFC championship games with Houston.

One of the main hosts on the legendary Ticket sports station in DFW married Snake's daughter. They had a son a few years back and just announced they are expecting another boy.

Pretty cool to hear his stories every once a while about when they get invited to some Bama or Raider thing
