Jimbo didn't technically reject LSU in 2015 or 2016; it was the other way around both years.
You are right. LSU obviously rejected Jimbo, both years. If not for Orgeron being under contract with a ridiculous buyout, LSU might be in position to reject Jimbo again.
That was sweet reject of Herman by LSU last year as well. Alleva playing chess and all....
There you go.

Actually it is Alabama (1)
Tied for second - Auburn, Arkansas, LSU, State, OM, A&M.

Oh I understand rejection.
Yes Les wanted to keep Chief. But Aleva rejected a contract passed the HC. Chavis saw ultimate rejection of Les and himself and fled to Aggie land. Oh thanks for the 100K!
LSU courted and won Jimbo, but dumped him at the altar. I think this was an error, but it is what it is. When we tried to reconnect he gave us the finger.
Now Chavis was a good coach with great talent. Jimbo is a good coach with great talent. But neither were consistent great talent getters. Jimbo was the only big fish in the weak ACC pond. That’s changed. Recruitment competition is heating up in Florida, and like Chavis he can see his ultimate rejection.
Jimbo needs to get out of FSU. If O had a heart attack, Jimbo’s agent would call LSU before O reached the morgue. Jimbo like Chavis would be a good fit for the LSU recruitment base. That is not aTm reality. Y’all need a recruiter like Mullin.
So as a Tiger fan I’m happy that Jimbo and A&M are courting. Hope you overpay him and keep him for 6 years like Sumlin. LSU 13 and aTm 0!

Spurrier quit after 2013

Yeah, with his last game against LSU. Hence why I said we made him quit. Hopefully for your sake you understand now.
What time warp world do you live in?

Spurrier must have ditched golf for fishing. Baited the hell out of us with that list.
I agree with two - Alabama and Auburn. aTm though , nah. Texas aTm is 21-19 since joining the SEC. The only time they were good was when JFF was running around in circles and launching wounded ducks to Mike Evans. They are in a great position to be a great program. In the last 20 years , they have only won more than 10 games twice and D-Day is a more recent even than their last title. God dammit Spurrier you got me.

I'm no Alleva apologist, and I don't think he handled the transition well at all.
LSU did reject Jimbo both years, but for different reasons. It was a bad decision for LSU in 2015 to keep Miles and reject Jimbo, but it was a good decision in 2016. Jimbo wanted a ridiculous contract and LSU wasn't willing to guarantee him what he wanted. Smart move by LSU that go round.
Not agreeing to that ridiculous contract to get Jimbo on 2016 was the smartest thing Alleva did in that entire mess, regardless of what happened with Herman and Orgeron after the fact. And yes, he did screw up the rest of that search. You won't hear me argue that point. Ever.

Dude. Stop, back away and take a deep, deep breath.
You are saying Fisher cannot recruit consistently? His last 4 classes:
2017- #6
2016- #3
2015- #3
2014- #4
Looks pretty consistent to me.

Jimbo can recruit. But my concern with Jimbo was similar to my concern with Miles: great recruiter but the on field results don't really wow me.

But but but that was Florida. Just wait. It's coming.

What on field results would wow you? Give me an average record.

LSU fans in 3 2 1
Honestly, right now I'd say LSU is a better job than TAMU simply because for all intents and purposes, they're the Nebraska of their state: the only game in town, and EVERYONE is a fan. Until Louisiana or LaTech can get into a power conference and be a real rival program, it's going to stay that way. Texas is so big that there are half a dozen schools with "primary fans".
Now, that said, because of TAMU's size, wealth, fans base, and booster power, that program SHOULD be a top ten job if done right. It just hasn't been yet.

I would say from a resources and recruitment standpoint it would be Alabama, LSU, and Texas A&M. Saban would have the exact same success at either of these two.

Not to mention the yell boys stitch bible verses into their overalls. This gay narrative is hilarious!

I wonder if the gay joke has gone on so long that people don't realize it is just a Rant joke.

Spurrier has been melting because LSU didn't offer him the LSU job for years...
...and so have we
