So money should not be important when evaluating which is a better job? Interesting perspective.

Don't forget the threats against recruits that sign with schools other than LSU and their families.

Recruits care about proven success!!!

The best recruits rarely go to “new” schools or hot names...

They go to programs that have Nfl and championship success.

One man’s opinion.

A man who won a national title and coached at two SEC schools.

This is why Louisiana is filling up fast with Texans looking to get the hell out.

That’s an opinion.

45-21 and 7 in a row are facts.

It appears that Jimbo Fisher disagrees with you.

Actually, it appears as though A&M is desperate enough to give Jimbo/Sexton the ridiculous guaranteed contract they want, and LSU wouldn't.

I disagree, but regardless this state is rich as frick and there's a lot of success to be had here.

Yeah, you're also conveniently leaving out A&M gave him a guaranteed contract and LSU wouldn't.

But spin, spin, spin that narrative.

So he chose safety over money. LSU offered more and he still chose A&M.

Spurrier is and has always been a troll. There may not have been social media when he was younger, but he used the traditional media to troll various teams. LSU has always been one of his favorite targets for whatever reasons. He knows damn well that LSU and Auburn are 2 and 3 and are about equal, and aTm is 4th. He just knows he can get a rise from LSU fans because Fisher turned them down last year. FSU administration and boosters renigged on some promises they made to keep him Tallahassee, and this is why Jimbo is leaving now. It is not a reflection on LSU, or even aTm really. It is just about timing and aTm being the best available job in the South at the time he finally got fed up. It should be UT he is going to, but all of their internal problems are obvious and well documented. LSU fans have actually been taking it better than I would have thought which means most of them see it for what it is.

Again how did that work out for Chavis????

In the 3 years he chose guaranteed money, his defense has been made a mockery of by LSU!!!! To the tune of 1600+ yards and 110+ points....

If A&M were the better job the same coach would have produced better results but it was EXPOTENTIALLY worse.

LSU is a better job and better program than aTm

Its absolutely a better program over the last 20 years or so. That being said, the only real difference all-time between the programs is Nick Saban and the aftermath of what he built. Prior to Saban's arrival, the numbers say the programs were very similar. A&M actually had quite a few more conference titles.

As for a better job RIGHT NOW? A&M has better facilities, more money, an AD that by LSU fan's own admission is run better than theirs and relatively modest expectations compared to LSU. LSU has a better built in recruiting advantage, but a good staff that can dominate DFW/Houston/East Texas can win big here.

I'd say it's VERY debatable as to which job is preferable right now.
