I think the day. Is coming where some university is going. To bring stuff like that up and challenge the NCAA in a court of law because of it
So universities are going to sue themselves?
The NCAA is governed by the universities. They hire the leadership. They make the rules.

If I remember correctly, Sexton never missed any playing time
I can’t remember how many games (wasn’t many) but he sat and got reinstated. I won’t pretend to act like I can tell you why he was reinstated with a slap and the AU guys sat all season.

It must really suck to cheat and still be awful.

Auburn is in the clear

That's rich. Can't wait to see what Pearl's been up to a few years down the line when it's all leaked.

AU will receive a NOA. I also think Bruce will get a 5-10 game suspension just for the optics despite the university cooperating, sitting players for a whole season (a season plus 10 games for Purifoy) and self-imposed recruiting restrictions.

Alabama should be good - we self imposed once we figured out the severity of it
2/12 - Miss St (L)
2/16 - Florida (L)
2/19 - Texas A&M (L)
2/23 - Vandy (W)
2/26 - USC (W)
2/2 - LSU (L)
2/5 - Auburn (L)
2/9 - Arkansas (L)
2/14 - Ole Miss (W)
2/15 - Kentucky (L)
2/20 - Norfolk St (L)
We tried to lose to Vandy, USCe and Ole Miss they just refused to let us. Pretty selfish.

It's not really cheating though. It's an assistant coach getting paid for helping an agent get business. It doesn't do anything to make South Carolina basketball better or give them any advantage. It was for a player that was already signed and had played for the team.

Not to mention when this happened was the same time we made the final four. So we didn't exactly suck when the violation occurred to begin with.

Don’t think he was referring to SC

BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT I thought only LSU and Willy Wade were the only cheaters.

No he's just the most blatant cheater and a dumbass

I think any penalties will be light for all schools involved. Auburn self-imposed some very stiff penalties already, so unless they hammer a lot of schools, I do not see any additional penalties. We had a coach accept money, that is a big deal, but so did others.
Blazer, referenced in the original U.S. Attorney’s Office complaint as “Cooperating Witness 1,” leveraged a connection with Atlanta-based clothier Rashan Michel to meet college basketball assistant coaches. Among those Blazer met—and allegedly paid off to ostensibly direct future NBA clients his way—were former Auburn assistant Chuck Person, former Alabama administrative staff member Kobie Baker, former Oklahoma State and South Carolina assistant Lamont Evans, former Arizona assistant Emanuel “Book” Richardson and former USC assistant Tony Bland.
FOOTBALL IS NEXT:
Blazer’s information could also spill over to college football. In the 2019 trial of Dawkins and Code, Blazer testified that he paid football players from seven different schools in violation of NCAA rules. Blazer testified that he made payments anywhere from hundreds to several thousands of dollars to players at Alabama, Michigan, North Carolina, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Penn State and Pittsburgh.

Doesn't change the fact Pearl is Auburn's coach.

Forgive my ignorance, but are these the guys that convinced PJ to leave early because they told him he’d get drafted?
shite, we got put at a competitive disadvantage with his early departure.

If Pearl gets suspended because an assistant broke the rules in a fashion that would HURT the AU program, I'll melt for you.

Auburn sat two players for an entire season, fired 3 coaches, missed an entire recruiting class and had the players pay back the $$. They served their time for any sanctions the NCAA may hand down. They will likely get a Level I and have to serve a probation stint. But I doubt they have to go through any more sanctions.
