This one is easier to handle because the coach admitted taking money. Open and shut, don't need anymore investigation.
LSU, on the other hand has none of that. The NCAA has a full investigation to do because they have absolutely nothing from that trial to say we are guilty of anything. In fact they were denied access to anything even close to incriminating.
In other words, another softball, toothless show of power by the NCAA resulting from a case where they didn't have to do any work to get penalties. When they actually have to dig up info for themselves, they never bring charges because no one gives them anything tangible. They have no power unless it's granted to them. Nothing to see here.

Auburn will receive a letter. We have known that for some time. But we did hold out the players and fired the coach (no vacated victories) . The question is will there be major penalties?

Its North Carolina who needs to be hammered for cheating, not South Carolina.

South Carolina is at least the sixth school to be formally charged by the NCAA in relation to the federal investigation. NC State, Kansas, Oklahoma State, USC and TCU all have acknowledged receiving NOAs. Creighton will neither confirm nor deny receiving a notice. Other schools known to be under investigation include Auburn, Louisville, Arizona, LSU and Alabama.

How are sec teams not better at this?
You only need to get a few guys for basketball; fewer people to talk.

This is so dumb and may end up being a clusterfrick for the NCAA. Every team that is even halfway successful in D1 basketball has players that have taken money or been recruited in "non-compliant" ways.
If they want to dole out punishments for this, fine, but they shouldn't half arse it and only punish like 9 schools.
How is that fair?

No shite. The FBI didn't get involved because 9 or 10 schools were doing this stuff.

Ahh yes not an Alabama coach just Alabama administration. Is that lack of institutional control?
Dawkins was paying Sextons family, for him to sign with him as an agent when he decided to go pro not for him to go to Alabama. You should read up more on the case.\
At most it could mean we would have to forfeit the victories from that season if this made Sexton ineligible but who gives a shite, we didn't win anything that year anyway.

No we didn't. They would've been arrested like Chuck Person and Lamont Evans was if we had.
