I’m not sure why you’re thinking at this point one is so much worse than the other. Auburn has already had more severe penalties than Alabama has. What makes you think that whatever may come next will be so much worse for Auburn? They already endured the tougher sentence.

Unless there is precedent, I don't see the NCAA doing anything AU hasn't already done for a rouge assistant. There was never an unfair advantage for AU, no reason to punish the school.

They have relaxed the rules on what classified as a “major violation”. We will get one of those but getting one now doesn’t mean punishment it certain. Just look at the Alabama major from a year or two ago

Ours sat for one game you had two players sit a whole year and a coach got arrested.

and the NCAA reinstated our players. So you think the NCAA will now come back and give penalties for something they allowed to happen?

Not sure about that. Michel was directed to Persons as somebody that could use some money. Not sure why Persons was broke but he was not a mastermind.

It wouldn't help or hurt Auburn if he was a key to the scheme but him being deeply involved is not the case. Persons was actually a surprise grab by the FBI since Auburn is not a Nike or Adidas school.

Probably because AU still made their first final four last year and leads the SEC this year, so something has to be screwy, right?

Exactly, Auburn and Alabama both have cooperated with the NCAA from the beginning. It’s not like this is starting from the beginning for either program. Person’s violations were much worse and Auburn has already had far tougher penalties already served.

Most people don't realize we don't have a Jr. on the roster because we didn't sign any players that year.

In one post you say this

quote:

I’m not sure why you’re thinking at this point one is so much worse than the other.

Then in the next one you say this

quote:

Person’s violations were much worse and Auburn has already had far tougher penalties already served.

Do you have brain damage?

Anyway I agree with you. Auburn's were much worse. Auburn and SC cases are very similar I expect Auburn to be hit with this same notice of allegations that SC was very soon. Good luck.

You have already shown your ignorance of the situation in this thread. Just own it and move on already.

Person’s violations were worse and Auburn has already served far worse penalties for those violations. I’m not sure what’s confusing you about that? A little slow maybe?

The difference is Auburn has already had multiple self-imposed penalties.

The thing that doesn't concern me.....the NCAA has already thoroughly investigated Auburn. We immediately suspended the two players involved. After the NCAA investigated it, the NCAA reinstated the players after lengthy suspensions.

We went a season, IIRC, without any on-campus visits. We didn't sign a player one year. That's why we have no Jr.'s on the team.

We have a fantastic Head of Compliance, who worked for the NCAA, and he got out ahead of it immediately.
