I had someone say it was boring and try to tell me that Stanford would beat either team. I just LOL'ed at him which evidently pissed him off. Also told him either Bama or LSU would put 40+ on Stanford and limit them to a touchdown or two. Pissed him off some more. Dude is just ignorant.

I think it was boring for uneducated fans. For people who know football, it was a classic.
I think the problem is that, in general, the nation has devolved to PlayStation football.

I was at a party in Dallas. game was on the big screen in the living room and on a smaller TV on the patio. Wife and i were the only LSU 'fans' or alumni there. Others were from Big Ten, Big XII, ACC or PAC12. One person has a sister who went to Bama. Most were UT. There was one tOSU grad there.
At times, my wife and I were the only ones watching. People just got bored and weren't into it. I was on the edge of my seat.

If you truly understand Football, it was a great game.
If you don't, and only watch games for flashy TD's, buy NCAA or Madden.

Scoreboard wise, but if you can have a "lopsided" 3-0 game, this was it.
I had to go look that game up. Bama missed 2 field goals in that game also.

That has skewed the perception some I guess, and as Americans we are add as frick and need bunches of instant gratification. For football people, it was high theatre. Those who aren't just can't get it.

It was a fantastic game. Both teams gave it everything they had and then some. In the end, props to LSU for the win.
The complaints about no TD's...both teams usually wear down the other side and pull away in the second half. In this game when the second half arrived both D's were still bringing the wood and both O-line were worn down from the battle with rotating D-lines and injuries. No other team in the country could have held up against either of these teams.

Fantastic Game.
It was boring for the fans of all those candyass conferences that have no defenses.

The ten years it removed from my life expectancy says it was not boring.

What he said.
Once I saw the first couple of drives, I figured the only TDs would be coming way of turnovers being brought to the house. It made every point so much more valuable, it is the kind of game that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is the same kind of nervous energy I feel watching a tight soccer match.

bdskelton,
Glad you asked that here. Since both of our fanbases had HUUUUUUUUUGE stakes in this game - of course it was not boring, unlike what the media and the northern and western vaginal orifices are saying.
Man, every play was almost like a chess move that would affect the next play.
To me the suspense was thicker than an elephant and bengal tiger wrestling in a vat of caramel.
