maybe he would name himself interim but nothing gained to fire after year 3. Plus the firing should have been done prior to NSD.

Tell that to Auburn fans to get a HC before NSD!

It sounding more and more like he’s done unless he pulls off a miracle. Not up to Fulmer, boosters are going to end up making the decision.

I thought he was staying for sure. Where are you hearing this? Don't get my hopes up.

A popular rumor is that Freeze is wanting the gig and Fulmer as a former coach is allowing Pruitt to finish the season. It seems unlikely it’s true.

I've jested all along that Fulmer will pull an Alvarez and play savior by coming out of the Athletic Directors Office and assume the reigns of head ball coach again.

However, I don't see a scenario where Pruitt will be let go unless Freeze is actually in play and a "deal" is in place beforehand.

They are still paying Dooley and Butch, and the old AD. They aren't firing proot.

Dooley and staff were over years ago. Jones and staff end in February. So that’s not an issue. If the powers that be want Pruitt gone then he is gone. Personally I would give him a year to make progress with his players without Covid issues and see where it’s at. I can’t get behind Freeze as an option, too slimy.

Even if true, he was still breathing when Phil shoveled the dirt in on top of him.

Fulmer held the entire program hostage and used Johnny as leverage.

I am right there with you. Two or three of the VOLS losses were winnable games if our offense had a pulse and wasn’t hampered by JG. For all JG has given, his errors always seem to be catastrophic. Bailey had no spring and maybe 5 practices before the season started. Maybe the intent was to start him this season, and he be our QB moving forward, was there, but the plausibility was not. I give Pruitt 2021. A full season with full practices accordingly, and a full roster of Pruitt recruits. Next year is when it’s boom or bust ... need to win all the games we should and be very competitive in the games we shouldn’t. Plus, Friend has got to go.

Yep. At least we got it over with as soon as possible. Tennessee is having to drag it out, and they deserve every second of it.

I’d love to see that blob back on the sidelines. Saban would continue to push his shite in.

There is also a rumor that Fulmer might be out as well. But that would seem a little harsh seeing how that is his alma mater.

Zero chance that Fulmer is out. As bad as the coaching carousel has been...the AD changes have been worse.

JP gets 2021 and he will get what he deserves if he doesn't field a good team in 2021. It is the HC's job to recruit/coach a QB that can be a winner.

How did Johnny dig his own grave? Serious question. I've heard the side of the story about Phil stabbing him in the back, but haven't heard the other side of the story.

Johnny was alcoholic like bear in latter years. He needed to go.
