and their kicking game is probably the worst in all of college football.

Hold on now…
VOLS will struggle to move the ball and OU will score at will. We’ll probably have a couple big plays, but unless the defense steps up - which they haven’t all season - I think we are in for a long night.

Give me Oklahoma in this one, 31-17
Top 5 is probably (not necessarily in order):

Ohio State
Indiana
Texas A&M
Alabama

Oregon, Georgia, Miami in the 5th spot, depending on the Saturday

TBD if BYU is for real..
3rd and Banks makes me miss 3rd and Chavis…

Simpson throws for 400. Bama wins by 21+.
Same boat. Falcons fan here, and I wasn’t overly excited when we drafted him, but damn this guy is a beast.
Auburn should 100% go after Alex Golesh at USF.
We could look like a much different team if our defense would get healthy… hoping to have McCoy back for Arkansas… Gibson may be out for the season
Penn St and Texas should not be ranked
I disagree. I’m sure they want their nephew to succeed, but they are also businessmen and football players. They see what everyone else sees, and they probably have a better idea of “what to do,” than just about anyone.
1. Ohio St
2. Oregon
3. Miami
4. Texas Tech
5. Penn State
6. Indiana
7. Alabama
8. Ole Miss
9. Oklahoma
10. Georgia Tech
11. Georgia
12. Iowa State

Defense has serious holes and offense is average.

Incorrect about the offense but correct on defense.

As has been mentioned, three of five of Aguilar’s INTs were off our WRs hands and the ball just flew up into the air, and another was because our WR fell down.

For the defense, that is largely due to being absent three starters on D, especially our two All-SEC corners. We should have one CB (McCoy) back for Arkansas, so that’ll be a huge boost for us, especially when we go to Tuscaloosa. We also lead the country in sacks.
I don’t have any issue with State, and I am glad to see they are improving.

But, I don’t think you’ve recruited at a high enough level - yet - to compete for four quarters. I think it’ll be close for a half.

Then again, Georgia and Stockton really exposed our inexperienced Freshmen DBs … not having much depth there and being without our starters (all Americans McCoy and Gibson) is really going to hurt us, not only for the game but also for the season.
I’m not worried about Miss State. Glad to see they are improving, though.

Texas with 4 games vs teams currently in the Top 10. Amazing what happens when your rivals don’t suck.

You realize you’re 0-1 so far in that four game gauntlet…

That QB for Utah is fun to watch, and Wittingham is a great coach. I think most folks slept on the idea of Utah winning the B12. Texas Tech is also one of my CFP sleepers… they spent a lot of money on portal players. Should be a good one.
Not a moral victory at all, but I do take solace in knowing we win easily with our two starting CBs (instead of freshmen). We appear to be better than my original 7-5 prediction.
The SEC is going to absolutely cannibalize itself this year, while the B18 should produce 4-5 1-2 loss teams.
