Does anyone know if there’s a tentative start time?
I’m gonna say 7-5 (3-5) and continue hating NIL and the transfer portal.

VOLS take Game 1 3-2
Oxford

Not sure if VOLS played poorly on Sat or A&M hit their potential

Think we take 2 against OM
Last 8 years:

E8
E8
S16
R32
F64
Covid
S16
R32

Our basketball team is shite.

But on a serious note, Barnes has done a great job, but it’s pretty frustrating having the team to go far each year but then falling short. I don’t really think Barnes is to blame for us shooting like 10% in the first half, missing open looks.
As long as we get Gainey back next year, I think we’ll be fine. I’d also love to see us recruit some true “bigs”

Eta - I also prefer having Cade in the game. He plays with a ton of heart.
These threads never backfire
To be fair, I didn’t think this VOLS team would advance beyond the Round of 32 or especially the S16. Our offense was arse most of the year.
Duke/Bama and VOLS/Houston are going to be great games. Think AU and FL can both win comfortably.
Ole Miss is hot right now and Mich St has looked very unimpressive. I could see it going either way.

For the VOLS, Lanier, Zeigler, and Gainey are all playing well… need all three to have a good game if we’re going to beat Kentucky… but my guess is the game is a repeat of the first two, Oweh balls out, and foul trouble kills us. Kentucky wins by 8.

saw that too what the hell? Ticky tac fouls on the other end and they swallow the whistle when Tennessee has the ball

Thank you! For those not watching the VOLS game, you know it’s gotta be bad when an LSU fan is lobbying on our behalf.

I was going to edit my post to affirm that it was just a joke. I understood your post, that there seem to be a significant number of caucasian players in a sport historically dominated by African Americans.

I got you. And for Tennessee’s sake, that’s probably why our offense is so anemic.

Tell me you’re racist without telling me you’re racist.

UCLAs big just got credited for a block on Milicic, and in slow-mo replay it was 99% wrist instead of ball :smh:
Considering last year we lost early to a middling Oklahoma team and then lost 2/3 in our opening SEC series to Alabama, and then we went on to win the NC, I’d say we’re right on track for a repeat! C’mon Bama, need you to win Game 3.
The SEC went from comprising 20.6% of the field to 25% of the field after the first round. The lower seeds primarily lost, other than Arkansas. I’d say the SEC is still doing just fine, and congratulations and good luck to the eight teams that have made it to the Round of 32.
Yep, season over. Time to focus on football season.
