It was obviously a bad night but Baker took them from a laughing stock to nationally elite, dude can coach defense.
Without that defense LSU is probably a 4-6 win team this year because the offense couldn’t punch its way out of a wet paper bag (FEI 81st nationally).
The offense and OL specifically got Brian Kelly fired. He had the #2 offense and #101 defense in 2023 and just two years later somehow managed to flip the script to 81 on offense and 8th on defense.

Normally I’d stop and do some serious contemplation if what I posted was in agreement with Tiger Rant but it’s painfully obvious LSU is trying to just throw a bag at Baker and turn him into Aranda. Good news is Aranda will be fired in the next year or two and you can sling $3 million at him and pay Baker to not coach your team for 18 months. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Yes we are and worth every penny. Could care less about a one game performance with mostly backups playing in a meaningless bowl game. I prefer to look at the whole body of work and the great improvement his defense made year over year.
