Are they using si's recruiting rankings? If so, they are they absolute worst and this list is pretty laughable considering LSUs recruiting

Makes me giggle. That natty looks even better with those rankings.

How so? It just means you lost a shite load
of talent.

Looks like Tenn and TAMU are biggest underachievers and LSU and Clemson biggest overachievers.OSU/UGA/Bama/UF/Auburn about as you’d expect

What a waste. So, go look at what this was for 2019; and if LSU wasn't Number #1 - then tell me how we beat the f*** out of everyone.

Don't mind us, just over here sending 2 stars and transfers to the league in the first round.

Who are the 2 stars? And while Burrow was a transfer he was still a 4 star.

LSU wasn't the most talented team in 2019 if you're just going off of recruiting stars. I'd bet Ohio State, UGA, and Bama at least were all ahead.

Well, Justin Jefferson, but that wasn't really the point of my joke.

For those to lazy to read the link:

quote:

Using the 247 Sports Composite recruiting rankings of the three major services (247, Rivals, and ESPN), we give each player on the roster a point total based on the star they were assessed as a recruit. So 5 points for a 5-star, 4 points for a 4-star, etc.

--We only evaluate the last four recruiting classes, so for this year that's 2017-20. That's because 5th-year seniors at the power five conference level are just not as impactful or plentiful as they used to be. But if a 5th-year senior figures prominently on the depth chart, they are still accounted for.

Basically, it’s saying certain programs (Stoops) find players who have potential and end up exceeding their initial ranking out of HS.

Whatever logic they used is asinine. Talent talent and coaching is coaching and those big ten schools(even Minnesota) don't have anywhere near top 20 talent. There's just no rhyme, reason or justification to back up those bullshite rankings.

yeah he clearly made a mistake in regards to LSU, we would 5-10 based on the formulas he said he followed.

LSU's dropoff was worse than I thought. But it makes sense.
Their depth is concerning if I were an LSU fan.

For reference, here’s his 2019 version

quote:

In my 2019 preview, the Total Team Talent Ratings are updated with the latest roster information available, as of July 1st. But since then, there's been even more attrition news. So with fall camps about to get underway in the next week or so across the country, here are the top 10 overall most talented teams:

quote:

Alabama 364
Georgia 347
Ohio State 326
Oklahoma 321
Michigan 313
Texas 312
Oregon 310
LSU 309
Notre Dame 302
Texas A&M 297

quote:

For those wondering where Clemson is, the defending national champs have suffered more early attrition than any other program in college this offseason. For example, their top defensive back recruit in the 2018 class just transferred to North Carolina a few days ago.

Indiana football has more talent than LSU football. I would have never known.

Lol. What a joke. LSU is definitely in the top 10 in talent. This list is shite.
