If moved to Nashville.... when Tenn/Vandy play in the title game would they be able sneak double-naught spies in to the stadium and observe/record the opposing teams practice like what takes place in the Benz? Lol

It would be nice to have it somewhere else. Atlanta isn’t a great destination.

I guess you didn’t see the Nashville stadium will have a dome.

As an Aggie I think that would be a great idea. Centrally located in the SEC. Good tourist destination.

Nashville is further away for teams that have played the most:
UGA
FL
AU
AL
LSU
USCe

About the same for UTe who is next team with appearances.

Only negative on Nashville is hotels are pretty ridiculous and no transit from airport. Last minute hotels especially.

UGA record doesn’t show an advantage..we usually win when we should.

Aquarium and College Hall of Fame are nice. This game is usually an in and out trip and typically last minute for one of the two teams.

NO

As long as the ACC is still going SEC CCG needs to stay in ATL

SEC leaves ATL and the ACC moves in

I’d like to see a five year rotation:

Atlanta
Nashville (if new stadium happens)
New Orleans
Dallas/Houston
Miami/Tampa

So basically Atlanta, Nashville and New Orleans would host every 5 years and each of the above Texas and Florida city every 10 years.

I like variety.

No I’m not Atlanta is a bigger and better tourist destination than Nashville

Who the frick goes to Atlanta to be a tourist?

It's a big city, but it's a boring generic big city. People go there for work, not vacation.

Nashville is fun. Atlanta is not. It is what it is man.

Nashville would also have to increase their hotel/accommodation capacity.

Nashville is barely able to scrape up enough rooms for the SEC Basketball Tourney.

New Orleans already gets the Sugar Bowl and is in the Championship rotation. Tampa is not inside the SEC footprint. Atlanta, Nashville, and Dallas.

What's capacity suppose to be? If seating is enough, I'd be for it. Atlanta, turned into a jungle.

Depends on what you are interested in.

But in reality, if you are there for a game how much time are you going to spend doing other stuff?

The only thing Nashville has that Atlanta doesn't have is an NHL team.

Agreed. The optics of playing the SEC Championship game in icy conditions would be awful. Just awful.

Seating and hotel space. Many of the rooms in Nashville near the current stadium are slum level at best.

A football game is like 4 hours. If I'm going to make a trip, I'll make a weekend out of it.

The Titans stadium in Nashville is right across the river from the Lower Broadway, bars, restaurants, attractions like country music HOF, and more live music up and down tbe street then you can get pretty anywhere else in the US. Plus good hotels in walking distence to all of it. Doubletree and Omni are both right there.

That setup alone makes for a better trip than anything in Atlanta.

SECCG isn’t a vacation. It is usually a last minute overnight trip for most.

Hotels and ease of access are what matter most.
