Word is his draft position is still in the top 10 but after two and a half seasons under Sarkisian he is nowhere near NFL-ready and is at best an average college QB.

What if he transferred and played a year for a different quarterback whisperer, Cignetti or even Riley?

Given where he is right now it would seem there is still a lot of potential left to develop under the tutelage of the right coach.

Perhaps the Manning family brain trust is already exploring this option.

They already have a plan and will dictate which team he will play for in the NFL.

He wont and no. He is about to face much easier defensive competition which might mask some deficiencies.

Mateers numbers likely improve as well when not playing Texas or UGA.

Not saying that means he is developing or improving but I bet his stats improve over the last 6 games and he has momentum to go top 2 rounds (even though he shouldnt) or come back.

Dont see what starting over does for him.

The two real questions are : 1 does he want to be on a team that has a legit shot at winning a NC?

Number 2: does he want to be around a coach that can actually mold him and make him into the QB that he very well could possibly be.

If those two are yes… then he needs to transfer to a Kiffin/LSU Deboer/Bama… or similar Coach/team..

If he stays at Texas he will be a top 10 pick. His family has already guaranteed that for him. But he won’t be taken seriously and will get a lot of people fired because of that nepotism

He wouldn't even qualify to sit our bench here.

A Louisiana kid, playing for Louisiana State U, and a simple apology from Lane if things get bad enough this year… will go along way to that happening.

I don’t think it will… but I never knew my house on siesta key worth 1.2m 6 years ago would now be worth 7m now.

I wouldn't call LSU easier defensive competition. Are you high on something?

He wont transfer unless he is basically made to transfer because I do not think he will declare for the NFL draft this year, nor should he. He is no where near ready to be an NFL QB, and these days teams have little patience for QBs taken high in the draft that fricking suck.

Just look at Cam Ward. He is absolutely fricking terrible in the NFL but has only played like 20 games total. There are already many many people who either are titans fans and want him gone so after they likely go 0-17 can try again at drafting a QB or commentators/talking heads who think he will be traded. Im not defending Cam Ward he has been absolutely fricking dreadful since day 1, but he shares a lot of the problems Manning is displaying at Texas. He cannot get through his progressions fast enough, and his mechanics are atrocious when made to play inside the pocket. I wouldnt say Mannings mechanics are atrocious but theyre very very inconsistent and at times look horrible.

He should 100% come back for another year of college, but Sark is going to need to be a lot less stubborn and change his offense to fit the people he has and put Manning in the best position to succeed. If he wont do that I dont see him getting much more development out of Arch even with another year so that is the only situation I think a transfer would make sense but only to somewhere youre absolutely positive the staff will ensure you are as ready as you possibly can be for the NFL

Is there actually any coach in college football that has developed more NFL drafted QBs than Sarkisian?

Lincoln Riley, and you also need to look at Sark’s recent track record at Texas. Ewers & Manning were two of the highest rated recruits in history. Did either develop into their potential under Sark’s guidance at Texas?

Don’t forget about New Mexico. They must be up there with the Steelers old Steel Curtain.
