I can't bring myself to like Cecil Hurt some of the time ... and despise him some of the time. But he makes a valid point here.

Obviously I am biased, but I do think he is balanced and fair most of the time. He seems realistic and isn't a sunshine pumper about Alabama IMO

Cecil is one of the fairest, credible and best writers out there. He tells it like it is. If you don't like him you probably don't like many people.

Harbaugh doesn't want to get in a battle of the wits with Cecil. Harbaugh is a moron at the core and Cecil is clever and would make him look like a dumbass.

He's only talking big and bad because his team beat the shite out of Florida. It's given him confidence. If anything, it worries Ohio State, which isn't a bad thing for the SEC.
Until he starts building a pipeline out of Florida, I'm not concerned. Let him talk.

Just because he's been at the Tuscaloosa News for 35 years doesn't make him a mouthpiece. Saban respects him because Saban knows the power that Cecil has with the fan base.
I've never read a Cecil article where it seemed like he was pushing a university influenced agenda. He's honest and is without question the top reporter that Alabama has covering athletics.

Cecil has spent his entire career at the Tuscaloosa News. Finebaum has tried to elevate his career, but he is just a local homer newspaper writer. Harbaugh would eat him alive.
