No he is just like Phillip Marshall. PM just figured out that the newspaper business is dying. Remember the TN is owned by the NYT. They use the smaller papers as a farm system for their writers.

Phillip Marshall tells Auburn fans what they want to hear. Cecil Hurt does the exact opposite on quite a few occasions.
And I believe Hurt is also employed by Rivals. Or at least he was a couple of years ago.

No argument there, he is just like Kirk McNair. They are not true journalist. But if you write for a paper, it use to be a different standard, unless you write for a paper in Alabama.

Anyone who thinks Cecil is the AD and Sabans mouthpiece has no idea what they are talking about....he has been plenty critical and even handed in his reporting.
