The guy is repeatedly an idiot on every board I've come across him on. He especially likes to be idiotic on the texags basketball board.

No you can't...not unless your going 95mph the entire trip

I usually stay around 80-85 mph, although my Tacoma has 218k miles on it and starts to get wonky around those speeds

What exactly do you consider "Atlanta" anyway? The southern suburbs?

When I pass Hartsfield-Jackson I'm in Atlanta, when I pass the old toll booth on GA-400 heading north I'm out of Atlanta.

Starkville has taken the the approach of conservative growth which will benefit us in the long run. It is a marathon not a sprint. There is finally some retirees deciding to settle in the town that is helping with some growth. We don't have sleazy business owners with Rags in the name of the store. We don't have multiple felonious lawyers living in our town. There aren't swampish cheerleader politicians graduating from our university.

Auburn has 161k people? That's my holy shite fact of the day.

The Auburn-Opelika area is very populated, but if you take a 10 minute drive headed west of campus on the backroads then you are in the middle of fricking nowhere, but that is true in just about any direction surrounding the area.

And most people go 80MPH. So in an hour and 20 minutes you have gone 107 miles

If Starkville and Tuscaloosa are so close, do their students party together

I knew three professors at Auburn who commuted from Atlanta.

I had one or two last year. No Atlanta traffic when you're headed in the opposite direction of the city on I-85.

I’ve seen a fair share of it, but most of the time it’s just kids with ties to the other state.

Everyone in Atlanta goes 80. Hell if I drove like the rest of atl does it would be 90

Using this logic, Lafayette Baton Rouge and Nola is just one huge combined metro. Over 2.5 million people easily.

I can make it to Cumming in 2 hours without traffic, and 2 hours and some change with traffic, granted I usually head that way when traffic is low because I can plan my trip around rush hour.

I highly doubt anyone would be driving to Auburn from North GA during normal business rush hour unless they either went to school there or worked there. Game day is on Saturdays in case you forgot.

400 is practically the Autobahn, speed limit on most stretches of it is posted at 55 but if you go that slow then the wife of some corporate high up in Atlanta is going to run your arse off the road in her Range Rover

Honestly did not know that Fayetteville was that big. Starting to think that's the away game trip for me this year.

You're disputing the proximity of the towns?

I'm 100% sure that some do. What percentage? No idea

My thoughts exactly!
It seems bad arse. Dickson street looks cool. The mountains surrounding the town look very nice too. Tickets should be very easy and cheap to get. I’m definitely leaning toward hitting the road north to NWA in November.

Auburn looks fun but seems like too much work.

Tuscaloosa is basically in Birmingham. Think most people go there instead of Starkville.

That's the only contact I had with Tuscaloosa, as a State student. We stopped there on the way to B'Ham

Only slightly better than the original name of Boardtown.

Fayetteville metro is as close as you'll get to Austin 1985. Big state school "downtown", with liberals/hippies clustered around it, big corporate presences 20 miles north in GOP-voter land. Hills, trees, trails, big-arse clean-water canyon lake right outside town, high-QOL. Not the same level of live music, though.

I fricking love Northwest Arkansas. I'm never leaving.
