There is a legitimate area for the court, and there is a legitimate area for the SEC to have it's rules.
If you think you can just run to the court every time you don't like a rule in a voluntary organization, then you are wrong.

You made fun of people here yesterday about the idea of the SEC filing a lawsuit.
And a whole lot of your fellow LSU idiots were right there with you.
If anyone wonders how LSU got in this predicament, just look at their president, their head coach, their fans, and Louisiana’s governor.
The Rumor is the SEC Will File a Lawsuit Thursday
Somebody should get a list of all the LSU fans in that thread. Go ahead and add them to the lawsuit for shits and giggles since they just loved when the SEC got added to the East Baton Rouge suit. Argue that they were part of an organized effort to smear the SEC’s reputation. I am sure if they shop enough judges the SEC is liable to find a judge that will find them guilty of libel.
If LSU fans want lawfare, I say give them all the lawfare they want and then some.

I'm just now reading this, but I was under the impression that the suit is about LSU coaxing people to engage in a lawsuit, not adding them to rosters.

The SEC had a restraining order against against the rule.
LSU followed court order as they could be potentially liable had they not

LSU has not broken a law, Sankey was on the stand this morning and couldn’t even define what a professional player was.
If the ruling is those boys are ineligible, LSU has said they won’t play. But I would fault Lane for not looking for a competitive advantage and earning the money he is being paid, and any of you liking Lane or LSU means nothing.
That is why you don’t comply with made up rules on the fly.
