Just think of the profit we would make if Men's basketball was successful?

I still don't understand how Women's basketball loses that much money. They don't sell out all their games, but most of the time, the arena is 3/4 full.

Is it Mulkey's salary? Does the SEC give that much more to Men's Basketball compared to Women's?

Again, unless the tickets are 1 dollar each, I just don't get why they lose so much money and the Men's team with 2,000 fans make money?

In the SEC or overall?

Actually, I PREDICTED the SEC record before the season started. And, you might be right, I think I gave them too many wins at 11. I should have stated 9 - 15 in the SEC.

I asked for your SEC prediction, but you refused. I guess you will wait until the SEC season is over and proclaim how your were right.

Welcome. I hope you stay. It will be a wild ride.

I thought the idea was to build as you go through the yr?

Again, that is the goal for ALL teams, not just LSU. Do you think other teams will just stay the same, but only LSU will improve throughout the year?

Hasn’t the criticism of the softball teams been that they start fast and fade?

Yes.

quote:

Just maybe they will build through the yr and be their best when it matters most which is March, April and May right?

I've seen the Pitchers. Pitchers don't really "improve" that much unless they learn a whole different pitch during the year. They will not go from throwing 63 to throwing 73 during a season.

As for hitting, that will come and go throughout the season. I just don't think we have the hitters that will be that consistent throughout the season.

Hitters might get a little better, but when they reach the SEC the pitching will be a WHOLE lot better, so that's the problem with hitting improving as the season progresses.

My ONLY hope with the hitting is that these pitchers they faced this past weekend were so slow and combined that with throwing a lot of change ups that the hitters timing was way off and when they face pitchers that throw in the 70 range, the timing will be better.

I have more confidence in Bryce getting the hitting better than Torina getting the Pitching better.

Well it is a damned good thing Illinois isn't in the SEC, right?

No, I wish they were in the SEC. We would have 3 automatic wins. They are terrible.

It assumes the team will play the next 50 games the same exact way they played the first 6, with zero improvement or progression.

They were out hit in 3 of the 6 games against bad teams (Nevada is an OK team). It wasn't just one game.

Yeah, they might improve some, but so will the teams they play, so that's a wash.

Very oeculiar game, Torina must have a rectal horseshoe

They RUN RULED Illinois (a terrible team 0 - 5) but Illinois out hit them 7 - 5. You won't win games like that in the SEC.

Franklin, Daniels, Hutchins, seem like the only ones that really are seeing the ball at the plate. Edwards looks like she might be getting back her groove.

As for pitching? Looks like we will have to rely on Heavener and Clompton. Neither are really dominant, so the hitting will have to come around.

This weekend will show us a lot.

Most pre-season games were more entertaining than this so called, "Super" bowl.

One of the "Wokest" actually.
Feel like I'm watching the LSU vs. Alabama 2011 National Championship game. Just a pathetic offensive showing by the Patriots.
I'm watching the "Bugs Bunny bowl" on Channel 126 on Cox Lafayette. There is a reason his first name is "Bad". I rather Bugs anytime.
Who's the Texas trash that voted this a-hole in to his position? That's how stupid White Democrats are. They vote to exterminate themselves.

So you admittedly don't watch, yet feel the need to proclaim who the best hitter is and know who looks uncomfortable?

Yes.
Was watching the basketball team. I'm here now, though.
Looks like Franklin will be our best hitter this year. She's the only one that looks comfortable at the plate. The rest of the team looks like they would rather be sitting on the bench or out on the field.
Well, if he stays, I'm saving 250 dollars.
This team is funny like the Washington Generals. LSU should just play away games like the Generals.
What's up? Any games today, Hold?

I'm ready to give my expert analysis. It only takes me one pitch.
quote:

What does giving to LSU softball have to do with anything here?

Because this person thinks that I hate it when LSU wins in softball. If I hated them winning why would I give money to the program each year. And, I'm not talking about Season Tickets.

quote:

Haha..frick you twinkle toes.

How much money do you give to LSU Softball, "Bait, born in 08"?

If you live in Boulder, CO, you should be able to give more than me, right?

I want them to win, but these games should be getting them ready for the SEC games. Yesterday, they were outplayed both games.

If it wasn't for a bad hop, a walk, hit by Pitch, and 3 passed balls, Lassiter would never have made it to the plate to win the game in the 7th.
No, the first six innings sucked. It was a good comeback, but this team has many things to work on.
