‘Member when he was hired and this board had a meltdown about racist math?

No, but I member when he tried to destroy "game day" atmosphere.
Thanks, just what I needed to know. Now, that I think about it, when I hired a coach, the board did need to approve it, but they only met once a month, so you could have coaches working for a couple of weeks before they were "officially" hired.

IMO, this makes it look like LSU might be in the right here, in that he wasn't officially fired until the Board approved the move.

Some Donors will end up paying the buyout (whatever the number is).

What I am afraid of is those donors won't put out the same amount of money on NIL and it will cost us in the transfer portal.

Woodward. Not only was he not authorized to terminate BK,

Why doesn't the AD have authority to fire a coach? Again, I was a High sChool AD and had authority to fire a coach, but the only times I did was at the end of a season and I told/asked my Principal beforehand.

Doesn't a College AD have the authority also?

I wonder if LSU is possibly using Kelly’s refusal to fire Sloane as a ground for firing for cause?

I asked this a couple of weeks ago and was laughed at, so who knows.
It's looking more and more like Woodward and Kelly got in a heated discussion and Woodward said,"You're Fired".

LSU said Woodward did not have that authority and fired Woodward.

I was a AD on the high school level and yeah, I had the authority to fire coaches, but I always got it approved with my principal before I did it. I didn't just get mad and fire a coach because "I could".

What a mess. There has to be a 30 on 30 on this in a few years, right?

It's 100% obvious LSU leaders acted in a rash, knee-jerk decision mid game against A&M and had no plan on how to execute what they wanted.

Just like the Les Miles fiasco after (of course) an A @ M game. Damn aggies costing us a lot of money.
Maybe if he would stop Jumping up and down waving a white towel, it would heal faster. Just a thought. Talking about Weeks here.

I still say if we don't have a coach by Thanksgiving, it will be Kiffen.
That was a ploy by Alabama to make Nussmeier think he was so great that he didn't have to improve or work in the offseason. And, it caused LSU to waste money on him.

It worked.

What do you think the other guys that are making 50,000 and feel they are working harder are thinking.

The state of Louisiana is not made for NIL players. Not Nuss, but most grew up poor and once they get paid a little money, they think they have hit the big time. Only a few will see the incentive to get better each day in the offseason.

It used to be that you work your butt off in College to get paid in the NFL. I bet most of these players were better as a freshman (Perkins, Dunham, etc) than they are now. Same goes for portal players.

I'm not saying they don't play hard on Saturdays. I'm saying they don't prepare "hard" in the offseason.

He might be if they start him.

I stand corrected.

Agree.

If players opt out, I hope their NIL contract makes them pay back some at least.
Wow. I was at that game as a student. He was booed and when he made a FG in that next game at home, he flipped the bird to the student section.

Brings back good memories. Not of that game, but just being at LSU.

He didn't care in the offseason because he thought he was "just that good" and he could turn the switch on once the games started.

The problem with this team is we have no leaders.

Our offensive leader has cried more times than he has thrown a TD pass in the last few games. Our defensive leader is TikToking his shaved head then returns only to stay on the sidelines waving a white towel over his head the last few weeks.

NO REAL LEADERS!

We need a complete overhaul in the offseason.

His 1st target was in the 4th qtr., 3rd and 8, deep inside your own territory.

Not an ideal situation.

So, if your 1st target was in the 4th quarter and it was 3rd down - It's normal to drop that ball? We were still in the damn game right there.

Reid such a useless piece of shite…..all year.

His brother is mr. "kneel down for the anthem" himself, so why should we be surprised.

However, that "roughing the QB" is BS. Qb's in the NFL are such pussies now. Nussmeier will fit in perfectly.

Well, we can’t score.

We can score, it's just FG's, while the other team scores TD's. I've been saying since the Clemson game, we have to have a running QB when we are in the red zone.

However, our Million dollar coaches know better, so we continue to run our 150 pound RB up the middle or throw a slow developing WR Screen for a 1 yard gain or 1 yard loss.

Our "Trick" play in the red zone was Green in a jump ball, but once a decent DC saw that, they pretty much shut that down.

Well, the other TE (Green) drops a pass a 3rd grade unathletic girl in PE class could catch, so ....

maybe 57 had done something other than push his player into Nuss.

Actually, 57 pushed the DE to the outside, which was OK after getting pushed back at the start.

The Pocket was actually very good on that play. Only a QB like Nuss would run into a DE 15 yards from the Line of scrimmage.
