Alcoholics keep taaka in business, not college kids. A pint is like 4.99

I wouldn’t be surprised if taaka sells more pint sized bottles than any other brand
Gambling rules are hammered into these players heads as soon as they step foot on campuses. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s mentioned every single week and teams have signs up as reminders in meeting areas
I can’t keep the rules straight but he can still be picked up by another team right? I can’t see anyone willing to do that at this point though
That won’t happen but I would fricking love him and his agent to get involved in yet another lawsuit.

From Sorsby, his agent, lawyer, the school, the local/state politicians, and the boosters, this entire thing has been a crash course on what not to do if you get caught gambling. I don’t know how to handle it more poorly than they have managed to do.
Breaking news: professional fighter turns into a complete piece of shite when wasted

TT assumed there would be some anger for a day or two, then the news cycle would bury it…nah uh

TT are the idiots that kept it in the news, they released open letters, videos of them answering questions, and other bullshite statements
This house was a grass lot when Master P lived here, he was in the back of CCL
Bigger question is who would build a house like that on a lot on old Perkins. It was built less than ten years ago.

The list of people that can or would buy that house has to be less than a few dozen
Anything involving chest tightness or your heart is going to catch you a ride to the hospital
Used to travel there some for work. The winter sucks. Theres a weird hood casino downtown that plays rap. The Hilton I would stay at was near the jail and people 3-4 floors up would yell shite down to the street which was kind of entertaining. That’s about all I have to say on Cleveland

Yes, most people don’t do their research and realize this park was built specifically for kids and it reflects that. It was advertised and built that way.

You are missing the point, the shrek “ride” is some shrubs and pained wooden cutouts. Nobody is expecting it to be Disney world but there’s clearly a lack of effort

Come on Jeff Landry! Make it happen!

Make what happen? The World Cup sites were decided years in advance
I’m guessing his agent was also the one that encouraged him to fight the cheating and try to play. I hope this dude never plays again

There's a precedent. Boutte bet on LSU games he played in including on himself to score a TD. He lost that bet. The difference with Sorsby is that it's a lot higher profile of a story that broke when he was still in school but otherwise the NFL has shown that it doesn't seem to be much of an issue.

Whether he sticks to it or not, Sorbys story right now is that he has a severe gambling addiction and requires treatment. That’s the difference and it’s a huge one

Just doubling down that Sorsby has a severe gambling disorder while wishing him the best

I’m guessing they aren't self aware enough to realize how transparent all these letters are
Don’t forget the open letter their moron AD had written up and released

I've heard the word "integrity" used a great deal in the last 48 hours. As someone who has dedicated his career to college sports, I, too, believe integrity is central to our industry's success. I also think integrity applies on more than one front. The integrity of sport matters. So does the integrity of how we treat a 22-year-old who sought help, entered residential treatment, and is working every day toward recovery. Those two things don't have to be in conflict.

Let me be direct about what Texas Tech's position actually is: we are glad Brendan is still part of our community, because that is where we can extend him the best possible support in his ongoing recovery. Clinical care, device monitoring, financial oversight, outpatient therapy . That infrastructure exists because we take our responsibility to this young man seriously. We spent Monday after the judge's ruling getting those systems stood up for him, not thinking about X's and O's. Pulling him out of a structured environment, away from his team and his support system, does not protect anyone. It might be a cleaner headline, but it wouldn't be the right one. And it wouldn't be true to the institutional values that guide us every day.

I’m guessing the family, not school, is behind this sensible decision.

Not a chance, this was the school telling him it wasn’t going to work out after their hand was forced. I’m not even sure if NFL teams will touch him at this point.
This dude isn’t some can’t miss talent which is why the entire TT wiling to burn it all down never made any sense. It was a cocky booster that has the entire athletic department in his pocket
The first fricking smart thing texas tech has done throughout this entire fiasco

Now not only does TT look like scumbags, but they have built him up as some gambling addict in the process to try to garner sympathy so he could play there.

Man this guy just needs to stop and take his licks. I hope he isn’t taking advice from TT because they are about to toss him out with the trash
