Can’t you get like an 800 on the SAT and get into Ole Miss?

No one takes the SAT at most of those schools, it’s usually the ACT.

Actually looks about right based on academic reputation.

I would have guessed Florida was #2 but everything is how I would have put it. Cole have done a good job climbing g these rankings lately.

We are higher than expected. State, and Ole Miss, by federal law has to accept just about anybody

In the 70s or 80s Jackson State/Alcorn/Valley in Mississippi sued the state for discrimination. One of the things the judge forced was for MSU and OM to reduce their admission standards to be equal to Jackson State/Alcorn/Valley.

I would have thought that Florida’s was ahead of Texas; Auburn over Bama and Oklahoma would be much higher - the rest does not surprise me at all

they used to be, but not anymore - Auburn is a little more selective than Bama currently

Alabama offers better scholarships that Auburn does for the same grades/SAT/ACT scores

The numbers in the OP are either outdated or wrong.

It really depends on your major but you can get a quality education at both places. I’d want my accountants and attorney out of Tuscaloosa and my vets and engineers/architects out of Auburn. Nursing, teaching, etc can be a good option at either.
