1. Pre-1992, nine game conference schedule, no SEC title game
2. 1992 expansion with Arky and SC, two divisions, title game, 8 or 9 game conference schedule
3. 2012 expansion with MIZ and Aggy, two divisions, title game and 8-9 schedule
I prefer #2 but would go for #1 if they bring back the Big 8 and SWC, but with ten teams each.

Why does mizzou play varsity sports? Total waste of taxpayers money

2. Nine game schedule, no divisions. Bring back Big 12 and PAC 12 as well with each being 12 teams.

2. 8 conference games, one permanent cross division opponent, two rotating on a set schedule that continues indefinitely.
What we had before Mizzou and aTm fricked it all up.

Clemson would provide more revenue and prestige to the conference.

I wish Mizzou would go back to playing Kansas every year at Arrowhead. Those games looked fun even in the frigid cold. Traditional rivalry games are the best.
Bring back Oklahoma vs Nebraska to.

Coach Bryant always said we needed 8 major geographical conferences with 10 teams each, and the conference champs utilize the bowl system as a playoff.
So an 8 team playoff.
He was a smart man. A football man.
Now you got media queers running the show, who do not know an X from an O.
~~And to answer your question, SC and Arky and the rest of the later adds have done nothing for the conference besides suck revenue.~~

That’s an interesting take, and also, a very inaccurate one.
In today’s world, it’s ALL about revenue. Each of the additions—Arkansas, South Carolina, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M have added an enormous amount of financial stability and revenue.
Each has added significant market reach and contributed to the 1.3 Billion in media revenue.
And, those six universities comprise over 40% of the total revenue in the SEC. Texas alone has a sports program that generates 340 Million annually, the largest in college sports. And since you mentioned SC, they generate over 200 Million annually.

I've had enough of playing TCU, SMU, Baylor, Texas Tech, & Houston to last future lifetimes.
The only former SWC school I wouldn't mind playing periodically is Rice and that's because the MOB is fun and they *love* to take shots at Texas during halftime which I enjoy.

That actually sucked for everybody else as well. People outside the SWC never tuned into those games either. We'd all watch Texas play Arkansas and A&M but nobody watched those Texas play those other teams except for maybe Houston when Houston was good.
I might watch that Texas Rice halftime... but I wouldn't bother watching the game.

this was Bryant Dennehy in 1992 -
guess what paid for the 1998 East upper deck and the first ever TSIO in Tuscaloosa 1999 - that's right - TV revenue money from the 1992 conference additions of Arkansas & Carolina and SEC CG TV cash windfall -

Reorganizing of D1 is more needed than any conference realignment. I think the top 60 programs need to split and collective bargain(which I think will inevitably happen)
