One of these is not like the other

You're right, one was meaningless conference title game that meant nothing since both teams were in the playoffs.....the other was a critical regular season game on the road at Athens

One could make the argument that the road win in Athens was crucial to get to play in the CCG. The fact that the outcome of that game didn’t matter tells me that Bama still has lots of leverage

I would view an early season road win at Athens was the bigger win. Bama wasn't going to get punished for losing the SECCG game.

Whatever - it's a three game season now. Bama can either look like shite or they can look like the best team in the country. If the catch fire at the right time Bama will be a very tough out.

Was pretty big for Bama to get in the playoffs.

No doubt about that. Bama has been Jekyll and Hyde but the are among the most talented team in the country. Them, Georgia and OSU have the most blue chips

Pretty much, any superlative given to ANY SEC team results in an Alabama fan saying;

“So?”
“Didn’t happen.”
Or, Nebraska was the best evar!”

Crabs in a bucket. “You’re not allowed to be better’n we is.”

A LSU fan masquerading as a Georgia fan. What a wild time to be alive.

in any era? Is there another era besides right now that 15 games could be played in a season?

the Hugh Freeze era won exactly 15 games, the Bryan Harsin era did not.

I just don’t see it this year for the Dawgs.

Actually, if Colbie Young and Drew Bobo are ready to go in early January, I wouldn't bet against the Dawgs.

Both games were meaningless for UGA.

UGA could have won both, lost both or split them 1-1 and would have ended up in the playoff in all three scenarios.

Same is not true for Bama. Bama needed to win at least one of them. If they had lost both, they would have been out of the playoff.

So I guess playing UGA matters more to Bama that playing Bama matters to UGA this year. At least until the playoffs.

A repeat isn’t happening for you this year thanks to Bama…UGA isnt winning it all for #15 just to clarify.

Seems odd. Neither will Alabama thanks to:

Georgia
Florida State
Oklahoma
