Well as much as I’ve enjoyed the Canes this year, I don’t like the prospect of facing elite mobile QB Chambliss. He basically willed his team to beat Georgia. But if Fletcher continues use to run hard and break runs off for four or five yards, he does tend to wear out a defense. I was pleased to see that OSU defense had all kinds of problems tackling him. But Beck is the mystery in all of this. If he gets pressure he can be rattled. I expect the Rebels to bring the house against him.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the OSU QB was about as mobile as a dead body. That played right into our defensive scheme. Miami ain’t going to have that luxury against Ole Miss

Miami has added key experienced portal players. Beck is as night and day as you will see. I’m a bit surprised by tOSU’s game plan vs UM. Patricia had a loaded defensive line this year but they couldn’t get home with just four because the OL for Miami is very stout, especially after the SMU game. Seems like they had a come to Jesus moment with Cristobal after that loss. OSU fans were claiming that it was like them last year when they lost to Michigan. The results seem to bare that out.

That game was during a time when the SEC was tops in the country. Bama was peak Saban in 2012-2013. There’s been a seismic shift in the sport since 2023. Saban retiring along with the unmitigated portal mess means that the sport will allow for more outliers.
