I'm providing context on why you and the Aggies might not want us in the SEC with you.

As a loooong time Texas Aggie who has spent many a year with the horns (more so than most of y’all) ….
I’m with the ladies from ATX on this one.
UTex doesn’t GAF about the ‘horns down’ dorkism.
It’s dumb.
But somewhere along the way, Sooners—and to some extent, RBacks—convinced themselves they were taking the piss outta UTex by flashing the horns down.
Some of our new Army Aggie kiddos (who didn’t grow up with A&M/t.u.) have joined in on the horns down nonsense, simply bc they know no better.
That’s on us older Ags; we need to step in and kick those Ags in the butt.
I could write a missive on why t.u. sucks; but throwing up horns down is sophomoric, low-hanging fruit—at least for the farmers from TAMC.

Sam was a Longhorn since he was in the womb. So he may be more sensitive to the "horns down" than many. But even he talked about teams and players as opposed to random fans.
It will be interesting to see if Texas fans whine about it once they enter the league. But for the most part they see fans doing "horns down" as a form of flattery. It isn't, but that's what they'll think so ya'll might as well let them.
