Mack Brown publicly talked about it in a post game presser

Oh, 10 schools just off the top of your head, huh?

That's quite impressive. Mind providing some quotes or something? And please don't drag us into arguing over the LSU air conditioning thing.

Yes, he asked why his WR got flagged for a "guns down" TD celebration at Tech, while other players do horns down every game. A completely and utterly reasonable response to a bullshite call.

If you’re old enough to know about Ryan Perrilloux, and then you’re old enough to know about the history of Texas athletics. Or are you just being obtuse?

SHHHHH!!!

It's much more fun watching internet tough guys get angry over something trivial. Don't ruin the party now

Surely it was only a penalty in the Big 12 if done in the face, no? I admit, I thought the entire time that it was nothing more than a standard taunting penalty which Texas whine about so much that the big 12 added the "horns down" language to soothe the sore pussied horns. Now it seems it was a penalty ANY time it was done???? Hell, thats infinitely worse...that does, however, mesh with what I know of Texans and their nether regions being sore...

I could write a missive on why t.u. sucks; but throwing up horns down is sophomoric, low-hanging fruit—at least for the farmers from TAMC.

In y'alls defense it is really hard to do the horns down sign with a dildo in each hand...

It's literally been enforced the same way in the SEC forever. I can do the gator chomp with my teammates but it's a penalty if I did it at Florida players or their bench.

What if a Florida player does the gator chomp in an opponents face, or a Texas player does the horns up in an opponents face?

Those are also penalties just like the horns down in an opponents face?

It was never called period. Texas has had more flags thrown against them for doing a simple "shhh" gesture to the crowd than any player on an opposing team has for doing the horns down.

They never "added language"? The Big 12 used horns down as an example when explaining the new taunting rule before the 2019 season (probably because Texas takes up more space in opponents' heads than anyone else).

Again... not the case, nor has this ever been the case

Again, could not be further from the truth. Most longhorn fans LOVE when other fanbases decide to use our sign instead of their own. Basically makes the game more meaningful, and more about Texas if anything. We love the fact that teams care more about Texas losing than their own teams winning

SO it is merely the same taunting rule that has existed in the SEC forever...I thought so. It seems that it may have actually been a special rule in the Big 12...if so that is really funny.

But a word of caution to our midwestern friends from Oklahoma and Baja Oklahoma...y'all ain't never seen the likes of incompentence which is on display in a well called game in the SEC on the part of SEC officials. When they are great they are lousy but when they are merely normal it is down right hysterical. Do not be shocked when your team is flagged for taunting because the SEC official noticed your player had thumbs and could, if he decided, flash the down horns sign in the face of another player...and it could happen when Texas was on a BYE and UGA and Vandy were playing one another. We'd be outraged but not a one of us would be shocked...we know the idiots who officiate SEC games well...anything they do is not surprising....

I like to frick with Texans but I also know that your last bit is more in line with what I actually know about Texans and a big reason why I like fricking with them so much...they can take it and give as good or better than they get. I havent followed the whole horns down saga but I always figured it was simply a regular taunting penalty if it was ever called at all.

If the ref that called personal foul against the Ags the last time we played tu is on the field, keep your hands hidden if the game is on the line.

That pass was overthrown by at least 10 yards. Your DB could have pulled up, but no, he just had to get a little shot in. Hit our guy in the helmet and drew a justified penalty flag. Just a baffling display of stupidity on his part. Love that y'all still bleed about that while ignoring your shitty offense coughing the ball up four times. That was the actual reason you lost.
