I guess we should give them a gesture they're much more comfortable with in Austin like the "Dildos Up".

I won't be happy unless SEC officials call a penalty on opposing players who look like they were thinking about doing a Horns Down gesture.

Fortunately, with the SEC title game soon moving to Texas, the refs will be pressured to frequently call this penalty.

So stupid but they basically stopped penalizing celebration/gesture/mockery in 2020 so it will probably be mostly unenforced anyway.

This thread really exposes how few people actually read articles and just look at the headline

This isn’t new, you can’t taunt on your own as it is. A player will get flagged for doing the gator chomp, if done in a taunting manner. It has happen many times.

Exactly.. it’s the same with the Chomp.. that’s really the only other “hand symbol” thing in the SEC.

Except the stupid thumbs up by A&M and I have no idea what that’s about. Are they Henry Winkler fans?

I'll never forget AJ Green hugging his teammates after scoring a late go ahead TD vs. LSU and getting a 15 yard penalty on the kickoff that likely cost us the game.

No one’s afraid of you now or the past 50 years LOL. But you are right, recruits care who won during the world wars. Do you even know how you built up that record? LOL

And way to deflect on thread calling your present school weak for things such as horns down. I’m so ready for you to be in the SEC. Good luck this year. Maybe you can finally do something this decade.

No he didn’t.
But the leftists in Austin will probably shed real tears if someone does it.

Not a problem as long as they flag UT players for doing the hook'em thing too. Just play football, nobody came here to see people dance around and make hand gestures. UF has been flagged many times for doing the chomp, and I am fine with that as long as everyone gets flagged or no one.

It says you can do it just not taunting in front of the players face

I mean no different than flipping them off and getting an un-sportsman like penalty

Horns down will be used always and forever on the field, as it should

That's NOT what he said.

I understand you probably didn't finish elementary school so reading comprehension isn't your strong suit but Holy Mother of God.

What he DID say was, if you do horns down or any other gesture IN AN OPPONENTS FACE it's a taunting penalty just like it has ALWAYS been.

He went on to say if you do it while celebrating with your teammates IT IS NOT A PENALTY just like it has ALWAYS been.

Don't worry. After a couple of good arse whippings, their posters will disappear. Getting knocked out of the CWS last year made xwing disappear for THREE MONTHS!!

A&M complained to the Big 12 to clamp down on thumbs down on the field. Everything that comes out of College Station is pure projection.

I do think aggy maybe won 38% of the last 50 games against Texas. That is better than the historical 34% winning percentage. Great job aggy!

You obviously didn't read the article. Or, maybe you did but your flat brain couldn't understood the very complicated nature of college football taunting penalties. As far as the last decade, Texas hasn't done much at all. They did play in the conference championship game five seasons ago and beat UGA. aggy hasn't done that since 1998 and 1954, respectfully. But, per the norm, I hear next year is the year for aggy!
