I think you are confusing media days which were held in Hoover with spring meetings which were held in Destin.

They gave them a favorable September conference schedule to make up for it

Media days haven’t been in Alabama since 2021

In 2025 SEC media days were in Atlanta. In 2024 they were in Dallas. In 2023 they were in Nashville.
