One other interesting tidbit.
The only schools to put together back-to-back Top 25 KenPom teams in consecutive seasons this decade were the following:
KENTUCKY
6 Consecutive Top 25 teams, 2014-2019 (#13, #1, #6, #4, #17, #8)
3 Consecutive Top 25 teams, 2010-2019 (#4, #7, #1)
FLORIDA
4 Consecutive Top 25 teams, 2011-2014 (#17, #10, #2, #3)
2 Consecutive Top 25 teams, 2017-2018 (#5, #22)
TENNESSEE
2 Consecutive Top 25 teams, 2018-2019 (#13, #10)
AUBURN
2 Consecutive Top 25 teams, 2018-2019 (#23, #11)
Auburn's ability to churn out two consecutive Top 25 teams makes me think the Bruce Era will be much more than just a blip of success similar to Frank Martin's Final Four a few seasons ago. To have one great year often happens due to having a senior-laden squad or a special player that leaves to the NBA after a year, etc. But to do it in consecutive seasons is rare.
In fact, Auburn and Tennessee are the only programs from the SEC other than Kentucky and Florida to put together consecutive Top 25 KenPom squads since Mississippi State did it back in 2003-2004.
Doing it 2 years in a row is a big deal, and both look capable of extending that streak into a third season.
Several programs are trying their hardest to catch up, but right now Kentucky, Tennessee, and Auburn are the class of the conference.

This is also a pretty good gauge of how long it takes to rebuild a program from nothing.
We were less than nothing. What Bruce did in 5 years is a miracle...maybe the greatest coaching job in Auburn's history regardless of sport.

The SEC in basketball is just Kentucky and the 13 dwarfs.

Nah - Auburn fans didn't watch basketball prior to last year .

LSU was in a much better situation when Wade got there than Auburn and Bruce.
We won 10 games the year before. 2 in SEC play

Not due to a lack of talent. Auburn has had trash talent until the last few seasons.

Maybe. To be fair, what Wade inherited besides Brandon Sampson and Skylar Mays was awful. He turned the roster over in a hurry.

Says a lot when the worse team in the SEC makes a final 4 and could have won it all.

Pearl inherited KT Harrell for one year. That was it.

Not sure why that elicited a laugh from you unless you find the truth funny for some reason.
Still salty over Mullen leaving.

Idiot how can you say Tennessee and the Barn are apart of the “class” of the conference with Kentucky and leave Florida out?

Y'all should try it as well. Just in FB.

Perfect reflection of Mike's tenure. Mediocre.

No I am not salty over CDM leaving. The timing was about right for it. I appreciate everything he did at State for the football program and he left it in much better shape than he found it. However most people want to dismiss what Croom did but he did leave a solid foundation in place and an excellent recruiting class in place for him when he started in 2009.

He took over a 10 win team that went 2-16 in the SEC, and that team lost it's best player when wade came in

We've been bubble every year while every other program has had great years and bad year

I still shake my head on that Rick Ray hire. I mean a good high school coach would've been a better hire.
