Look in a mirror much?

I have given half a dozen, up to date, links that say it seats a little over 10K. I have no idea how other links have it seating over 11K? Some of the links are obviously wrong.

Your own source says over 11k.
But you're ignoring his post for some mysterious reason.

Anything to get out of Alabama huh. Move to a stadium that seats half the folks but just as long as you stick it to Bama.
You LSU folks need to get over your obsession with Bama. We don't consider you a rival, we don't consider you a threat. Look at the football overall series. hell, look at the baseball overall series.
You got this Bama thing when Saban came to Bama. Here's a fact...Only you consider the Bama game a huge deal. Bama has Auburn and UT and you are 3rd but a distant 3rd. The Bama LSU game is talked about in Alabama the week of the game. The Bama LSU game is talked 365 in LA. Snuggle up with A&M because that is gonna be your yearly rival going forward.

Hoover seats 10,800

FWIW, Those are just seats and they sit more on the grass hills on each side of the stands. Which mostly is just used for the last round. They recorded 13,270 last year for the championship game.

LSU fan here. Hoover ok with me. Plenty safe parking, RV parking. Who wants to be mugged in Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta. What concerns me is when Texas comes in they will try to use the money and clout to move it.

Lawd - Why does every-damn-thread have to have pages of back and forth between a couple of posters about the most trivial stuff?

IF fans want the tournament to relocate then petition your school President and AD immediately. They're all about to meet in Destin for the annual SEC meetings, now is the perfect time to bombard them with your wants and wishes.

Otherwise, these threads provide nothing more than arguments.

Pensacola is a great town but this is a terrible idea. I go down there about once a month for business. My office is a few blocks north of the pics you posted.

There is 1 hotel in downtown that doesn't suck. It is a Holiday Inn express but a pretty decent one. Palafox is fun and there are tons of restaurants and bars but the hotels to support this tournament are on the beach.

Pensacola beach is about 20-25 minutes from downtown because you have to go through Gulf Breeze.

And no one stays on Pensacola Beach during Memorial Day. The reason? There is a huge gay pride event and they take over all the hotels and restaurants on the beach. I've never been down there during Memorial Day but I would assume a good portion of this spills over to downtown and Palafox because the restaurants and bars are superior and more plentiful than on the beach.

This doesn't address the other concerns about the small size of the venue.

The airport is very small but it is not bad. Since it is so small it is easy to get through security but few food or bar options once you get in.

Nobody cares. The only thing that this projection rant tells me is that you get your sense of self esteem through Bama football. And that’s kind of pathetic.

Capacity is definitely an issue and would have to be addressed.

Staying near the beach during Memorial Day week would be too pricey for the average family to attend, dumb arse.

Someone should probably tell that to all of the average family's that are going to be at the beach this weekend.

This isn't a knock on Hoover, but Pensacola would be a great venue

Agreed but Memorial day weekend in Pensacola would cost much more for hotels and food IF you can even find a hotel room available. Logistics would get tricky as people are flooding into NW Florida on vacation this week thru the holiday.

Does Alabama even know where Omaha is? I have not seen them there since Clinton was president.

Fourth of July. As we currently own (ok maybe we just currently rent) Alabama anyway, I will be at the ruins of Fort McRee. You post up across the pass at Fort Pickens. We can lob piss balloons at each other until our arms fall off.

And you are dead on about Pensacola/Perdido being "light" on not just coonasses, but people in general. I love heading over there and getting out on the water and away from the crowds. Nothing better than lying in gin clear water at Sand Island with the Blue Angels practicing overhead.

I brought it up as my first point and my main point. I floated out an option of having them expand the stadium in exchange for long term commitment from the SEC. In another post, I said again, it would have to be addressed.

Short of taking out some crayons and drawing you a picture of some guys installing steel beams, what else would you like me to do to convince you of its "vast importance"?

Well, TouchHimself Tony seems to believe Pensacola is just outside the gates of LSU, so he is going to need Waze and possibly a divining rod just to get out of his driveway.

I was wondering when the annual "Hoover Sucks" debate would begin. I no longer go so they can put it anywhere that has tv coverage. When is the contract up? Will laugh my arse off when Hoover is extended for another 5.

Pensacola is a beautiful park

But the place seats 5,000 people. That's not even close to being enough.

Totally agree on both points. I would love to see them expand that park. Regardless of the SEC, if they could get to 8000 along with some berms, it would serve them better in the long run with MILB as well. We catch a Blue Wahoo's game every year and its neat park with a great location.

On a totally unrelated note, I vote that the Florida Gators immediately change their name to the Blue Wahoos.
