I agree there’s not he could have done. It’s the picking and choosing that’s causing him to lose all credibility though. Either fight to maintain it on all fronts or do not and let it all ride. You can’t pick and choose because it comes off as biased.

He could have told Ole Miss that they'd be punished for playing a player who was in violation of NCAA bylaws.
Kind of like he did in this situation.

What bylaw is in in violation of?
A judge ruled in his favor and granted him a medical redshirt and 6th year of eligibility. The higher court declined to hear the appeal so that judgement stood. So he was ruled eligible for a sixth season.

Ethan Johnson never signed an NFL contract or appeared on a NFL roster.
I don’t see many people arguing the 2022 class shouldn’t get an extra year of eligibility. It is guys who signed NFL contracts and were on NFL rosters until a week or two ago getting an extra year of eligibility and returning to play in college that has so many up in arms.

So you want to rule them all ineligible?
And you are wrong, you can rule the class of 2022 is eligible while ruling anyone in the class who signed a pro contract or appeared on a pro contract is disqualified from playing.

Every school playing someone under a TRO should receive the same punishment.
If that’s the announced punishment for “former nfl players” ok great
I am perfectly fine with that.

No doubt, low IQ fans are fine with some ineligible players playing, but lose their minds if others try to.
