One thing SEC football fans have in common is loyalty to their school, regardless of record. We honor the traditions, have spirited conversations, wear our gear and bleed the colors. Likewise for many schools in other conferences like Ohio State, Nebraska, Clemson, Penn State, etc.

What are some of those schools where a large portion of the fanbase only pays attention if they’re winning (or new fans jump on the wagon). Miami playing tonight comes to mind. USC, UCLA and Oregon seem to fit the bill.

Put everything in past tense now that there’s zero connection between the school & football teams.

Any school in a large state is bound to have the most bandwagon fans.

One of my favorite hobbies is asking bama fans what part of Alabama they are from.

I would think Notre Dame. There are many Catholics and Irish people that aren’t from the state that follow or root for them just because of those 2 factors.

There are bandwagon fans and then are t-shirt fans.

Bandwagon fans jump on and off.

Texas on the other hand (similar to Bama) has legions of retards with stickers on their trucks and hats and flags, and they will talk shite to another school without ever having attended.

I'm okay with bandwagon fans. Every team has them.

Non-educated t-shirt fans are the worst of humanity.

Have you ever noticed how most people's hobby parallels their intelligence level?

Whichever team national champion. Whoever wins this game tonight will see their fanbase grow exponentially.

15 years ago it was Florida State. All over the country. Now it is Alabama.

A&M has gotten a lot of good press lately. Before long you’ll have plenty of your own t-shirt fans. Wonder if you’ll change your tune then or still beat them away with a stick.

When you are the Flagship University for your state, of course you”ll have many “t shirt” and “bandwagon “ fans.

That has little value in the end for pulling for a program. I am not from the state of AL nor attended school there, but I have been in person to over hundred+ Alabama games going back to 78 my first one. I doubt the majority of fans for a program have been to that many.

I paid for college and attended where I could afford instate tuition. Get over yourself.

This is true for LA in general even with the professional teams. If they are not winning seats are empty and tickets are cheap.

A&M T-shirt fans are legion, always have been. It’s a false narrative put forward by them that they are somehow pure as to having nothing but alumni among them.

It’s a silly argument anyway. When I was growing up, Aggie jokes weren’t about the University,

What ever happened to good Aggie jokes? They kind of disappeared..
